WoW beta test begins tomorrow!

Blizzard's own mmorpg World of Warcraft beta test sign-ups will begin tomorrow January 28! I myself am going to sign up and I'd like to know who else is going to.

Hey i'd like to do this but i want more information please, as i'm too lazy to look it up.

Where do i sign up, do i need to pay (i'm assuming not but hey, never know rofl), how long is this lasting, computer specifications..... DO THE FOOT WORK DAMN YOU!!

and it sounds awesome. I suggest everyone atleast sign up, even if they don't use it.

The signups will be on Blizzard's main page (www.blizzard.com ;D) where they put all the news.
I doubt you'll need to pay, I have no idea how long this is lasting, and they havent announced the comp specs yet... So I'm practically useless, but that's what the website is for .

World of Warcraft Beta Signups This Week!
At 6:00 pm PST on Wednesday, January 28th, the signup period for the World of Warcraft Beta Test will officially begin. We will provide a link to the beta-test application right here in the news section at that time. Testers are not going to be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis, so you will be able to submit an application and receive equal consideration anytime during the signup period, which will end on Wednesday, February 4th at 6:00 pm PST. Please note that multiple submissions from the same household will result in complete disqualification.

lol, hey so many people are trying to sign up its crazy. Last night their website was like down, and today they said that they took down battle.net to use it for registrations XD ;D.

anyhow, right now i was trying to sign up but the requirements are pretty harsh =/.

The World of Warcraft® Beta test has the following requirements:

A 56K or higher modem with an internet connection.
You must have a valid e-mail address (yahoo & hotmail addresses will not be accepted).

Windows® System/OS:
800 Mhz or higher CPU.
256 Megabytes or more of RAM.
Geforce 2 Graphics Card or better.
3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
DirectX® 9.0 or above.

Mac® System/OS:
1.0 GHz or higher, G4 or G5 processor.
512 Megabytes RAM or higher. DDR RAM recommended.
ATI or NVIDIA video hardware with 64 MB VRAM or more.
3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
MacOS X 10.3 ("Panther") or better[/color]



anyhow, supposedly you need parental permission if your under 18, which i'm not really sure how they check, but they're definitely checking the computer specs because they said you have to DL some program thats going to check out your computer and tell them what you have.
This sucks for me because I don't think my graphics card is good enough =/, but everything else is so close, and the only other thing I would have to do is borrow my parents e-mail.

meh might as well sign up. i've been looking at the game on blizzard's website and it seems interesting enough. hmm... but what's this about hotmail accounts not being accepted? guess i'm gonna have to either borrow my parent's account or set up my own account on verizon. so much work, i better be picked...

bah this sucks, ok i think my graphics card will work, but the next problem is e-mail. I have a hotmail account, and my parents have a yahoo one.... i guess i could use their work e-mails but otherwise i'd have to set up my own =/. bleh. Could i... borrow one of yours ;D
