This is not like the Shining Force games at all, but technically is part of the Shining series. This appears to be a real-time non-strategy RPG rather than the turn-based strategy RPGs that were the Shining Force series. Still, it looks like it could be pretty good an I will likely buy it.

Looks like an action RPG. Here are some pics:

Yeah, an action RPG like Secret of Mana. But on Gamefaqs.com, the people that gave it reviews ranked it really crappy.

I've heard that Shining Soul 2 blows it away. I don't know if 2's coming to the US though.

Er... well the second certainly isn't coming to England.
But the first is kind of like Diablo... but not really half as good.
If you're good at pressing the 'A' button, then you'll find this game quite easy. I traded in my regular GBA for a GBA SP after playing this game because of the suprisingly unattractive thumbprint on my 'A' button.
Chaos gives it a 6.5

I remember playing Shining Soul and it wasn't that great. It was kind of repetitive and there were some bugs in the items menu.

Ok well I've got to say here (since for some reason the Worst GB thread won't work) that the absolute WORST game I've ever played on the GBA is the Lord of the Rings.
There were sooooooo many glitches. I returned the game after two hours because I couldn't trust it lol.

Heh, there was a glitch in that game that made it impossible to get more than halfway through in some places ...or so the legend goes. I heard that Shining Soul two isn't that great. Its a shame that this is what shining force has been reduced to IMO.

The fellowship of the ring is the worst gba game to ever hit shelves... even worse than Legacy of Goku 1. There's a bug where you cant even beat the game... Atleast thats what happened to me
