I guess I'll not be picking up this title then. Hopefully they'll eventually make a Shining Force 4 or something for a next-gen console

What they SHOULD do is port Shining Force eps I-III to the PS2 and GC (Or GBA, but they could do an Arc and have it all released in a Shining 3 Anthology)... and port Shining In the Darkness to GBA...
I'll buy Shining Soul and Shining Soul 2 for one reason: It's Shining.

meh-- forget you guys.
sektor-- being a major Diablo 2 fan, this game OWNS for me. It's the handheld version of Diablo 2//PSO. you have the one main town, with the armory, weapon shop, item shop, healer person, the item identifying person (like cain), and you level up and put skill points in skills and you add 4 stat points to your stats each lvl (vitality, strength, dexterity, intelligence) Some of the skills are really cool.
There are different areas to level up in and you can play through them as many times as you want to lvl up. And there's a boss at the end of each level who can drop good or bad items once you beat them.
honestly, the main reason this game gets lower ratings than it should is the music. HORRIBLE. turn the speakers down, listen to a cd.
forget what everyone else says sektor, you and kamon being diablo 2 fans, I say you definitely should pick a copy or two.
MULTIPLAYER WITH THIS GAME WILL BE HEAVEN. My brothers picking up a copy ASAP.

Yes Kraggzz, Shining Force 3 debuted on the last year of the Sega Saturn's life. Because it was released on the system's last year, it wasnt heard of much.

I'd love to see any SS game on PC. SF3 got really good reviews and is probably among the best games for the SS.

Yeah, I heard it was a really good game. Shining Force CD was pretty good too. Is CD a remake of the original or is it its own game?

Shining Force CD is it's own game. Shining force 3 owns your family...literaly. the only suck ass part is that it's a 4 part game(they had a premium disk if anyone wants to argue) and we only recieved the first. the battles were beautiful, the strategy was wonderful, and they even had a new system that would help the battles a little: the affection system. you would gain affection between char's by attacking an enemy right afterwords, healing immediately, and so forth. my friend had the main char and main female as soul mates.

I heard that Shining Soul I & II are both awesome games, and they look alright. I'll try them out and I'll give a report on them after the holidays (actually, only the first, SSII doesn't come out until February I think)

There was a shining force 3? Yep, sure was, and it rules. I got that baby for my Saturn. (damn was it hard to find, and worth some duckets!)

I remember playing the Japanese version of Shining Soul and the items in the menu were messed in some way.
