From what I've heard about SOM, it seems like FE is better. I put it down for a while after I got M&L... and now I'm obsessed and addicted to FE. It is just so damned great, that you should just get it and see how great it is because it can't be explained. Same goes for M&L.

The only reason I still like FE is because there's that little music thingy. I don't like the game otherwise.

The unit's stat stuff, the way the battles are played, etc.

I like the battles more than TO's or FFTA's. The annoying thing is how the stats are random.
