BoF 1 and 2

I've beaten To:KOL a few times and i just beat FF 1 4 gba, and trying 2 beat 2, now i was wondering, r these games good rpgs 4 the gba? like should i get 2 and not 1, or get both? since mebe just getting 2 will screw up the game.. btw.. is GS 2 worth getting? friend says it is very exciting.. sry this is getting off topic.. but i'd just like 2 kno ne good rpgs 4 the gba besides like TO and FF... my hunger is growing..

Phantasy Star Collection.

Golden Sun 2 was trash IMO. Not because it had any glaring flaws, but because it was so... so average. Ugh.

The Breath of Fires are like the numbered Final Fantasies; they're related in name only. So you can play them out of order. I don't care for them much, but some other people do.

Hmmm, sum1 said GS2 was kool, mebe i'll c if i can borrow it, well, i was going 2 get bof 1 and 2.. but.. is 1 like a repetitive slow game..? i cannot stand slow games.. So, i will get 2.. but 1.. i ono... also, is this shining force game ne good? or shining shoul 1 and 2.. or sumtin like that.... ty! ;D

I've heard Shining Force is a faithful porn, never played Shining Soul.

Breath of Fire is less slow than it is tedious. After a bit, you'll be sweeping through battles with the Auto command. After you get the underwater orb or whatever, it suddenly opens up a lot, and you have to explore it all to figure out where to go next... meh.

i don't think you'll see anything earth shattering in the breath of fires or goldensun, never played shining force and soul though, i thought someone said they were good but thats not much heh

if you liked FF 1 & 2 I'm pretty sure you'd like both BOF 1 & 2

i don't recommend phantasy star collection, it is extreeeemly oldschool & slow-moving. however, it IS three RPG's in one, so if you find it for a low price, go for it.

shining soul 1 & 2 are kinda like diablo 2, but choose Shining Soul 2 if you plan to get one of em.

Sword of Mana was okay, IMO.


I HATED BoF with a passion. The graphics are just childish, the gameplay is cookie-cutter RPG, and it's one of those games where you end up guessing where to go next, without a clue what to do.

Shining Soul isn't that great. I would get Shining Force instead. And I TOTALLY hated BoF1 & 2 for the same reasons as ^ and more, but I won't rant about it since I don't feel like it. It was just as mediocre as an RPG could get. I know some people like it, but I really hated it. GS is slightly better, but not by much. GS must be the most overrated RPG in history. Characters lack personality, mediocre storyline, super easy dungeons/puzzles, etc... The best thing about it is probably the graphics.
However, I'd highly recommend Fire Emblem. Sword of Mana is... ok. Nothing ground breaking or anything. I was expecting it to be better, but meh.

Do no get Shining Soul, that game is horrid. It kept my attention span for a few hours, but there are so few dungeons and they are so long and you play them over and over it makes you want to kill yourself.

BoF 1 was alright, I havent played 2.

Here are some awsome GBA games I'd recommend:

Zelda: Link to the Past
Zelda: The Minish Cap
Fire Emblem
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Megaman Battle Network 4 (R or B)
Pokemon (Leaf, Red, Saph, or Ruby)

Those are all basically RPGs (if you count Zelda as an RPG) and I loved every minute of those games. I would recommend every single one of those.

fire emblem and mario+luigi are both very good games with fire emblem more of a tactics game like TO and mario+luigi closer to paper mario i guess.

Don't get the pokemon games unless you're a very loyal fan in which case I suggest you wait for Emerald to come out.
