*SPOILERS* I just saw this today. I must say, overall, it was a depressing movie (it was expected to be, but still). I say this because Anakin/Vader is really f*cked up: killing little kids? Choking your wife whom you killed hundreds to try and save? Ugh...pathetic... This is because he was under the control of the Dark Side. Also, there were several times when I wanted to get up and slap the characters in the movie. Instances where death would have been appropriate (yet ended the series with that movie) and yet there was none made me mad. When Mace could have killed Darth Sidius...but didn't...and when Obi Wan just left Vader to...I don't know...melt near the lava (?)...that made me mad too. Mace killing Darth Sidious when he had the chance of giving him a trial first would go against the Jedi code. Oh, and what's with Yoda not being able to finish off the Sith Lord if Mace Windu could? And it's not like he wasn't weakened from his fight with Mace. Sidious was holding back in this battle to turn Anakin against the jedi

Well, now we all hate Anakin/Vader, just like Lucas had planned. We're falling into his trap perfectly....
Now that we've seen them all, I think we can rank them from Most Favorite to Least Favorite.
Most to Least Favorite Star Wars Movies:
2 (Yes, acting was def. sub par, but who watches Star Wars for the dialogue?) 6 (Loved the Endor battle scenes...go AT-STs!) 1 (Battle droids = lame, but good for fighting) 5 (Hoth was awesome) 4 (The original was okay...not enough fighting) 3 (...Meh...)

It was still the biggest burst of acting Christensen showed throughout the film. I think Windu kicked his ass. Yoda might be amazing with his mastery of the Force, but he's not so great at lightsaber fighting. He uses the same style as Qui-Gon used, and we all know what happened to him (which is why Obi-Wan decided to pursue a different style). Windu, on the other hand, has a lightsaber style that he pretty much invented, and it's so powerful that only three people (including him) have mastered it; two of which fell to the Dark Side and were subsequently executed by Windu himself. Or maybe I'm just a Mace fanboy

I'll be honest, that's the shittiest list of best to worst SW movies I've ever seen. I mean seriously, even if it just your opinion.

There's not really not much to write about Revenge of the Sith except that it's an okay film that was really overrated. I'm in the minority and think that the acting is actually top notch in this film, but the writing is sub-par. I also think Attack of the Clones was a much stronger movie overall, even if it acting wasn't as strong.
And earlier in the thread, there was a comment by Magicman about Hayden Christensen sucking in the Phantom Menace. You can't blame him for that. Anakin was played by Jake Lloyd and in his defense, not even Harry Joel Osment could have made little kid Anakin believable. That was just a horrible film that shoulfd have never been made.

I haven't seen the trilogy dvd of Return of the Jedi but I have seen all of the movies so here is my list and yes TF bastardized the series pretty bad personally
Episode 5
Episode 6
Episode 4
Episode 3 (The old ones are definitely better than the new ones)
Episode 1
Episode 2 (I really did not think this movie was good at all except for the last 20 minutes for Cronos reasoning)

Should I just laugh maliciously or...something?
I'll say this: the old Star Wars definitely have a charm that the new ones are missing. Almost everything in the old movies was animatronic (a.k.a. real) and everything in the new movies are just CGIs. I think that's pretty dissapointing.
After further reconsideration, I'll revise my list, but 2 is still my favorite...

It's also the only Star Wars film that can stand on its own without need of backstory or a sequel (even though it got both) 3 great film, really ties it all together without leaving holes 6 parts of this were dissapointing (sorry ewok fans) but regardless there are parts of this movie that are almost too awesome for me to handle (final duel) 2 I thought it was better than 1 but listening to annakin and padme whine isn't my idea of fun... I think it's a good movie but not Star Wars quality 1 Same with 2, not a bad movie but not Star Wars good

I was going to change my list because I hadn't really thought of the old ones. I haven't seen them in years. Maybe I should go re-watch them...

I saw it twice, on opening day/weekend. I can't say it's incredibly good, but Lucas did enough to pull off the end (or so he says). As for the list for my favorites, it'd be ESB, RotJ, ANH, RotS, AotC, TPM. RotS was extremely good for a prequel, but it's nothing compared to the OT - not the DVD released, but the original OT from '77. He tied up all the loose ends and put in a lot of EU references, which I appreciated To the comments on acting - don't blame the actors. The actors can't do much with crappy lines. ESB and RotJ weren't directed by Lucas, and there was another screenplay writer alongside. As for the remaining four, he directed and wrote the script. I'm not blaming Lucas entirely, as the actors' job is to act, but sometimes people forget that the lines and direction do matter. I've heard that Hayden's a lot better in his other movies, but I haven't seen them personally.
