Yes, this is my kind of topic. Well I drive two cars, they are a 3rd Gen F-body ('91 z28) and an FD '95.
But right now I'm driving the F-body 'cause the sequential turbo on my FD is acting up, damn rotaries are so high maintenance. I'm thinking of switching from sequential turbo to single turbo though. I don't like the 4th gen F-body, IMHO it doesn't look as mean as the third gen does.

I can tell you take your cars seriously. Sucks that one is having problems. Yeah, thanks. It's a known problem with the rx-7s though, tons of people have problems with the turbos acting up. Maybe this means I should just get a new car, lol. BTW, I like the colour of your 'stang. My friend has one and I must say that it's a pretty nice ride.

ya I was looking at a rx-7 but I saw how much trouble they can cause. So no wankle engine for me. How reliable are the rotary engines as compared the the norm?

You're car can definitely fly more than mine.

The rx-7's are pretty reliable (from what I heard) if you treat them well, monthly check-ups etc. But I've been taking super good care of it, changing the oil every 3000 miles, only using high octane gas (93, maybe I'll try that new 101 octane they have here ;D), using all those "super keeps your engine clean" fluids, etc. But I'm still getting probs. Maybe it's 'cause I let my mom drive it sometimes, the camaro is actually hers but she says it's too big, lol. I guess she doesn't know how to work the clutch and stick on my car, I keep telling her it's different from the camaro and to use the clutch when shifting but oh well. And the thing is that I didn't do many mods to my car, mainly 'cause I don't have the money right now and my dads too lazy to help me. I do have a few bolt-ons though, intake and exhaust. A rotary mechanic I know (well I'm working with him for the summer ), said it's probably 'cause I still have the stock ECU, and I'll probably need a new boost controller. Oh well we'll see what happens when I get some money, lol. Shoot, sorry for the long-ass rambling post.

Well this will make u feel better maybe: My friend decided to buy a 90 something dodge stealth, since he wanted a fast car. Well he went cheap and got this beat up one. Now he is looking at repairs that are just as much as what he paid for the car. Basically around where I told him he could get a nicer car for. Sux for him.

It's an auto. I don't see a need for a stick for V6 and I didn't have a choice since my parents picked it out. I have actually never seen a stick V6 mustang like mine.

my tech teacher really likes rotary engines and doesn't know why though never caught on. I thought they never caught on since not many places know how to work on them and that they didn't offer anything special over a normal engine. Any thoughts on this bishounen?

I guess the wankel rotaries never caught on 'cause it's older technology? Who knows, lol. Well Rotary engines and Piston engines are totally different.
Piston Engine:
When the piston moves down, the intake opens and the cylinder fills with air and gasoline. The piston moves up and compresses the air and gas. Then the spark plug ignites the air and gas and 'causes an explotion, forcing the piston downwards. When the piston goes down, exhaust escapes.
I'll post info about the rotary when I get home, I gotta go to work. Basically the rotary engine does each job separately, instead of the same chamber. There are three spaces in the chamber of a rotary engine compared to the one space of the piston engine. AnTEXTyways, I g2g, more info later. I'd say the rotary engine is more efficient.

Yeah, so I just came home and let's see if I can explain the rotary engine.
Ahhh, you know what, I probably wouldn't be able to explain it in a way you guys might understand without actually showing you.......so here's something I just found that'll help you understand rotaries. ^_^
www.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm
So personally I like the rotary engine better, and I honestly don't know why it isn't in production as much as it should be. Or maybe I'm just biased?? LOL, no I'm not I do own an F-body with a 5.7L 350 TPI V8. ;D
Ok, ok, I'll stop showing off.

You'll enjoy driving when you grow up,unless you get a whole bunch of tickets for speeding.
