[glow=navy,2,300]My friends call our music teacher Merlin because they wanted to know his first name and he said M but he ment mister. Then my friend shouted Merlin.[/glow] Your friend is stupid.... Anyways....at my school, they offer Pre-AP and AP classes. If you take an pre-ap class, you get 8 points added to your grade in the office. (If it said 80 on the report card, you would really have an 88). If you take an AP class, you get ten points. I had a 98 in World History thanks to that extra ten points....stupid quiz....just because you get ONE fifty.....geez...

In my school, there are advance courses. There are 3 math advance ones, 1 english advance one and a biology advance. I am taking the math ones. (1 in grade 11 and 2 in grade 12). I am doing awsome in math advance, so far I have a 97 or so. With those courses, when colleges look at your grades, for each one you have, they add 1 point on your overall average.[/glow]

Advanced Placement In my school you get 1 pt added to your GP for that class so If you get a B its a 4, and if you get an A its 5 whaaaaaaaaat!! so not fair... In my school a standard course A = 4.0 standard course B = 3.0 etc. honors course A = 4.5 honors course B = 3.5 etc. AP course and you get an A... =.... STILL 4.5 You get the same GPA credit for honors+AP , which really sucks because there's a point in the "class flow chart thingy" where you have to choose... AP path or standard path because they are too ****ing lazy to add an honors course... so its either: Possibly get a pretty bad grade in the AP course... but LEARN something!! standard courses are a JOKE... it's an assured A even if you don't do anything... I swear, however you learn NOTHING... If you've guessed already I'm taking AP for most of the "course choices"... gdit, I see some of my friends on the standard route and they're doing **** in school and get straight 100's, and I work my ass off and get lower grades.... . Oh well... I'll be LMAO when they fail in college ;D Nah, actually I'll feel bad... but still morally right, heh.

Yeah same here, B=4, A=5 (and then anything below is just the same). If you take the test and pass with a 3 or higher, colleges will give you credit for that class if they accept it as a college-level course. I hate those tests. All of them requires an essay. I hate writing so many essays. Already got to do it for the English one, now gotta do one for history, govt, math AAHHHH

Well the AP tests themselves are graded on a 1-5 score point... but I think that's standard right? Well that's how it is here.
And all college's dont agree on everything... like I'm pretty sure none will accept any AP test scores of 2 and below, and some will only accept it as a college-level credit if you score 5...

So if I have a 3.5 GPA my average grade is A? High honor roll here gets plus 1 GPA, honor roll has plus 0.5.

Even if you have more than half Pre-ap classes, your max GPA is still 4.5.
I caught my English teacher misuse the term "Deus ex Machina" today. Not only did she get its literal meaning wrong, but due to the context it was clearly meant to be used in its figurative sense anyways. Since English is probably my favorite class (and I realized I was probably the only one in there who knew the figurative meaning) so I didn't mention it.

Well my English teacher said today: "Poor little FOX!" It scared me a little. Oh, and I'm writing a paper on Romanticism in Les Miserable and any help would be appreciated.
