You're lucky you're in 7th grade. I wish I was, but then you still have to suffer through high school. =P yeah... the workload like doubles every year after 7th grade i swear... a geometric function...

I think that the hardest grades of all are sophomore year and 7th grade. All the rest are pretty simple IMO. Joy, I now have a spanish project to do for tommorrow. Dont you just LOVE school

Dont you just LOVE school 7th grade was actually pretty easy for me. 10th was a lot harder than 9th though. You no longer review shit from the past years. You just go straight into learning and the teachers expect more.

So far 10th is alot easier than 9th. I'm not sure how it is where you live but I'm about a fourth of the way through the year. I've never done more than 30 minutes of non-reading HW in a single night.

isn't 9th grade supposed to be easiest?
i didn't even work hard and i had a 4.3 GPA 9th grade...but it fell...dramatically in 10th grade, to like a mere 3.4, 3.5 WITH all honors...because i got used to not working during 9th grade...

They pace these grades horribly. Coming into third grade I knew pretty much everyrthing short of Texas history I was going to learn until 7th grade. It was so boring I didn't even bother to do alot of my assignments so I got less then great grades. All the classes i'm in now are supposedly "hard" but I think the 20 minutes a night I'm getting is an acceptable workload. And btw, don't rerally belive the things your teachers say about the next grade.

I dunno... as far as I'm concerned, anyone who is under grade 10 (MAYBE even grade 11) should really have no reason to complain about workload, especially in Ontarian schooling. I'm not really sure how the American school system works, but I'd assume at least these grades are somewhat similar.

I think 50 is a passing grade in Cali. Canadas probably works better in a way nobody notices.
Speaking of school, have you guys ever went to school in Japan? Apparently theres some rule that if your School aged and you live there for over a month you have to attend a few days. It was wierd, we actually spent like 30 minutes doing Origami. They had a swimming pool in a middle school. Thats just over the top. Off the deep end you might say (LOL!). They all wore uniforms which made me feel kind of uncomfortable in my Satanic tye-dye and weathered Jeans look. The toilets are holes in the floor. Fancy holes in the floor. The guy who was my "guide" so to speak could use english deftly enough to express his deep love for Inu Yasha, DBZ, and Baseball (I swear its more poular in Japan than the US.) Then my dad gave a speach about astro physics that I'm sure sounded all Babel-fished due to the fact he had a translator. I'm glad they didn't make me go to school in Russia.

60 is the passing grade in California. A 50 is an F, which means you didn't pass.
I don't know if it's true for all the other high schools, but here, if you get more than 3 (I think) F's, you have to repeat the grade.
For me, a C is passing, since I'm a senior and the universities don't count D's as passing.

I was going to go to a school-sponsored trip to Japan once but I couldn't 'cause stuff came up. How was japan?

passing grade depends on where you are...and what classes you're taking
in our school, B-, or 80 is the passing grade for all honors...any less and you're kicked out the next semester...if you get below 70 though, and fall into a D+ or below...you get kicked out automatically
