Well over here the halloweenies ALWAYS trick-or-treat on Halloween... that is October 31st.... only people that don't are either 1) By accident 2) As pranks or 3) Greedy people who just want more candy... ;D EDIT: ... do you have ANY idea why people would do that in your town? I mean comon, you gotta have some reason, ask your parents or something. I can't think of any quirks in the town where i live... but I know there's a few, give me a little time.....

[glow=navy,2,300]The only time they didn't have halloween on halloween here is once when halloween landed on a sunday.
BTW, the woman that babysits my little brother and sister doesn't take her kids halloweening. Something about it being "the day of the devil" (ohh). [/glow]

She must be christian then. Christians believe that Halloween Is Devil day. Since ancient times that day was cursed as a day were witches come out worship the lord of darkness.

Trick-or-treating the day before Halloween sounds messed. Everyone here trick or treats on Halloween and there's Halloween every year regardless of the day so I'm used to that.

She must be christian then. Christians believe that Halloween Is Devil day. Since ancient times that day was cursed as a day were witches come out worship the lord of darkness. Halloween started with the Celtic belief that the spirits of the dead seek food and shelter on October 31st. As far as I know there is nothing about Halloween in Christian beliefs.

oh well I'm christian and love this holiday. heh Well, nowadays people just associate halloween with lots and lots of candy and "spooky" decorations. PS Isn't halloween called "all hallow's eve"? PSS trick-or-treating is not the day before for me.

Ahem.
All Hallow's Eve is named so because it is the day before the Catholic Holiday, All Saint's Day, on November 1st.
People began dressing up as scary monsters, pirates, and other brutes to scare off the evil spirits, which congregate on October 31st, as Final said.

Everyone trick-or-treats ON Halloween here. We had about 5 knocks on the door all night, so I didn't have to go out to get lots of candy ;D

Someone told me that, and also that nov. 2nd is All Soul's Day. I'm christian too... and on halloween only like 20 people came... my neighborhood is a *little* out of the way but this is the lowest it's been EVER as far as I can remember....

Hey guys, I'm still alive. Halloween is supposed to be an event for kids, but now it's all about the adults. I think adults are trying too hard to relive their youth through their kids.

[glow=navy,2,300] It gets on my nerves when people are too religious. I mean, I can see believing in something, but when that thing you belive in seems to be running your life, its time to cut back, especially when you are believing in something that is not even proven. Me, I used to be a Christian, but it doesn't really make sence. Someone just wrote a book about happenings and tied them together with stories. Evolution though has been proven.[/glow]
