No, that's a myth. Lovebirds can live singly just as well as any other parrot. If you give them enough attention, that is.
Btw, what kind of lovebird do you have? I MUST SEE THE PIC! I love lovebirds! They sound kind of loud/high pitched though.

i had a turtle a long time ago...don't know what happened to it
I had a fish, it died
I had a hamster, it bit people a lot and got out of its cage so many times we gave it away so i don't own a pet right now

We used to have some goldfish. Actually, they were my dad's but he gave them away or sold them to some people... Don't know why... I was only like 6. My mom's friend asked us to look after her 2 hamsters when she went on vacation. I convinced my mom to let me have a hamster so we got one. Then it turns out that my mom's friend said we can have her hamsters. So we had 3. When those died, I got another one... which is dead now as well. And now I have my rabbit and bird. The end. :>
