What was the original idea of starting it? I was there, and i may have forgotten. I think it was because we were sick of flame wars, and it was a great area to post without the chance of anyone biting you back for the crap you posted.

Yes, that was why Sokar started it. I'm proud to say I was the first (non-Sokar) member to sign up! Bow down to me!....or...something...? Anyways, to bad it got newbiefied. I wish we had the old TSE2 thread....It seems like many more people are posting now that the boards have gotten made over.

Yeah, it would've still been open had n00bs and spammers not of invaded the thread as you can see in the last few pages. It's not really their fault though, TSE just lost its special touch.

Why don't we re-create or something? Or make a new name or SOMETHING?
It could be fun. ;D
What does TSE stand for anyway?

[glow=navy,2,300]TSE= Team Self Esteem. It was a board that if you joined you had to agree that you wouldn't flame others. It was pretty good for awhile, but I guess durring the time I was gone, the n00bs got ahold of it and it lost its touch. I don't think that it will ever be recreated again because Sokar doesn't want it to(It was his creation).[/glow]

I might've... ;D

We try to refrain from creatin any new teams and such. The first one ended in part because of noobs, so the natural impulse is to become exclusive. But you need to refrain from becoming exclusive, because that always leads to problems too. Boards like this have a loose social structure, and TSE was a big thing that united everybody in the board. It was fun because Sokar made me realize that the creation of such a club would lower the amount of flaming we saw if everyoen was involved and bound by it's rules. The first topic i ever created was asking about emulation, and it erupted into a short flame session before getting locked. Back then, flaming was actually a problem. The sheer amount of morons was staggering.

As you can see that not even a sequal to the famous thread made by its creator could bring back its former glory... let alone a different team thread
