College and life caught up to me.
I'm happy to see these boards are still up and about but saddened at the inactivity. BAM nostalgia.
What plans do you guys have for the future of this place?

Something tells me when the LUCT remake releases in March, this board is going to get an influx of new blood

Well, I plan to add pictures of all the maps at some point in life thanks to a fan of the site/game. The map pictures are already up on gamefaqs. Otherwise, I have zero plans to build another site around the re-release or any other games. I am not sure what the luct.tacticsogre.com webmaster has planned, but my guess is nothing either.

I'm finally done with school forever (maybe? probably?) so I have a ton of free time now. We can't just let this place die. D: And I never heard about the LUCT remake. Which system is it for?
EDIT: Sigh, I just realized that the topic below this was all about the remake. Nevermind..

I am waiting to see if the site has a re-birth thanks to the re-release and people searching for a tactics ogre guide/site. I am sure a few new folks will come across it in a few weeks upon release. I messaged Chris (luct webmaster) to see if he had any plans to update the new features, heroes, and missions in the re-make. No word yet. I may do the maps relatively soon. It is literally a matter of saving them off gamefaqs (already have permission) and uploading them to the map pages. The process will take 1-3 hours. What are you doing post-grad? Looking for a job or bumming around the home? Any more overseas trips?

I know I for one am buying it the day it comes out - it's already been received with positive reviews; getting a 9/10 on gamespot.

Yeah i read two reviews to see what enhancements were made to the game. I like the world system and re-tweaked battle system. My brother (the one that helped start the site long ago) bought a PSP and pre-ordered the game just to play it again. It looks like the game is even better.

What company remade the game? I was just wondering because, given the rights, wouldn't they be able to work on a new saga for TO? Wishful thinking but I really would like to experience the gameplay on a 3DS.

Wishful thinking but I really would like to experience the gameplay on a 3DS. Square Enix owns the rights to the ogre battle franchise these days after acquiring Quest and Enix. I read an article about TKOL being a disappointing release for the game series after Ogre Battle 64 did well. I believe the sales of this remake will determine whether or not this series gets a reincarnation. If you want to see more from the OB Saga, pick up the game.

I've actually been just mainly bumming around the past several weeks, and also did a little job hunting. Pretty tough right now since most job openings aren't really entry level. Probably won't be able to go on any overseas trips this year if I'm going to start working. I'm sure traffic'll pick up a bit with the new game. I actually just saw it today and wanted to get it but will probably wait til I actually have some income again.

Hey guys. I've been meaning to drop by ever since OldSchool left a Comment on my profile over at AWN...3 years ago. I'm flattered by my description of the "most knowledgeable person about Advance Wars." I even still had my Proud Member Of Team Self-Esteem signature when I logged in earlier. I see Jaggy posted above me, but I hope that a lot more of you are still around. ...Though I did notice that the last post in the topic was quite a while ago. Me, I've been doing alright. I got my B.S. in Human Biology back in 2007 and recently a M.S. in Computer Science: Bioinformatics in 2009. I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology. Other than that, I've been working as a high school AP Biology and Computer Science teacher for the past couple years. The pay leaves much to be desired, but I really do enjoy the work.

Good to see everyone is doing well.
Wow 3 years ago I left you that message? Haha time flies man. Still feels like yesterday when this board was crazy active and we were a whole lot younger.

*gasp* It's CO_Eagle. I still remember our days of chatting on AIM. I don't really use AIM anymore, but anyone who's got MSN can feel free to contact me through there. Good to see a few people still visit every now and then though. Brings back old memories even though it still feels like yesterday.
