pokemon Platnuim is out in Japan, and all the critics say it is incredible and will not bore even those who beat P/D. I'm glad it is as good as the hype. It is supposed to be the end-all-be-all of pokemon games combining pearl and diamond. I'm sure it will be a huge success here.

I may try it out. The last pokemon game I played was Sapphire, and I felt it was too much like the others to really get into it. I played Pokemon Blue to death

pokemon Platnuim is out in Japan, and all the critics say it is incredible and will not bore even those who beat P/D. Platinum is not that different from D/P. I'm still getting it though. I'm glad it is as good as the hype. It is supposed to be the end-all-be-all of pokemon games combining pearl and diamond. I'm sure it will be a huge success here. I doubt it's the last of the series. Nintendo will probably release G/S remakes as well as a whole new set of pokemon. I may try it out. The last pokemon game I played was Sapphire, and I felt it was too much like the others to really get into it. I played Pokemon Blue to death The addition of WiFi to the pokemon genre is certainly refreshing but don't expect too much change from the usual gameplay. It's still the basic idea - only now it has more things to do after completing the main storyline.

If Platinum is to Pearl/Diamond as Crystal was to Gold/Silver, I'm going to need to convince my little bro to get it...

Pfft, I can't even convince my younger brother to play my Pearl that already bought if I do actually go and get Platinum!
But at the moment, GTA:CW is holding me over just fine.

Have to say, Platinum is pretty awesome. I beat Pearl, and while they are similar, there are some pretty substantial differences, there's simply a much larger number of pokemon available to be caught in the game, if nothing else (From previous generations). Definitely worth checking out.

Yeah silver/gold really was the best of pokemon if you ask me. I wouldn't mind if they did to silver/gold what they did to red/blue with fire red and leaf green.

I just did a amazon.com game trade-in to get the promo $10 credit and pick up Platinum. I even traded in my Pokemon Blue for $4 haha. Point is I missed everything after Blue and am looking forward to picking up Platinum and doing it all over again. Maybe we can do some friend code exchanging and have a couple battles. My brother (those that may recall I have one and helped start the site) currently owns diamond.

I'd be up for a battle anytime. I recently picked up a DSi as well. Currently working on getting all 5 stars on the trainer card.

I don't know I just really don't like 4th gen. I guess it is nice because you can battle all over the world but... oh well. I'd enjoy a battle too.

Chomp is Uber - at least according to most fansites. Not a bad team otherwise.
Just a peek at Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. We'll get more information and pictures in 3 days or so.
