What is everyone doing this summer for work?
I am going to be an intern at my local Target store. Basically I am shadowing a manager of the store and learning about the different positions. Then halfway through, I get to manage a section of the store and do a report. 40 hours a week and $14/hour is pretty sweet on top of my $10 discount WOOT. $5 off all new videogames (like I need to buy anymore but that sounds cool anyways).

I'm working for my dad's company in a lab. Basically just helping around and cleaning stuff and whatnot, and other dirty work. I'm also taking summer school at the same time, so I work 3 days a week and have school 2 days a week.

I'm a supervisor for the IT section of my University. This will be my 3rd summer and beginning of my 3rd year with them. Some of the hours are brutal (working 10 hour days wed/thurs) but the money is good. $19.50/h. Wish I had better hours though.

I wouldn't complain making that for 10 hours a day you will be rich (for a college student) making almost $200 a day! Well downside is no life but at least you can shop till you drop when summer ends.

I FINALLY got a good job! For those of you who are you know, socially retarded and ignorant of my work life, I was in fast food and now I work for the cafe at Barnes and Noble, which, might I remind you, is NOT a Starbucks.

No! It's the cafe OWNED by Barnes and Noble. You should see the looks and hear what people tell me when they whip out a Starbucks gift card and I say, "Oh, yeah, we don't take those because we're actually not a Starbucks..."

Did you get on it and ride all the way to housewares?
And do you ever feel the urge to smack people who pronounce Target with a French accent, Tar-zhay?

And do you ever feel the urge to smack people who pronounce Target with a French accent, Tar-zhay? You mean I've been saying it wrong for all these years?

I asked a manager if Tar-zhay was appropriate and they say it didn't matter how you say Target haha. This week I get to stock shelves, maybe order someone around, move merchandise, and work in food avenue aka make Taco Bell Tacos and Pizza Hut pizzas for a day.
