Found any cool demos of games we should try out? Want to challenge a board member online through a multiplayer demo? Post up your links here!
First up the up-coming cel-shaded shooter, XIII, has a single player and multiplayer demo for download on PC for free. Check them out: Single Player: downloads.ign.com/objects/572/572733.html Multiplayer: downloads.ign.com/objects/606/606726.html
I'm currently downloading both the single and multiplayer demos of the game. It would be cool to hook up with a fellow board member in a deathmatch or team deathmatch game via online

What's your screen name? If Sektor is taken, I'll use DeathCleaver

Ok, I just installed the single player version and when it starts up, this window pops up and says "HW not supported
History: CheckDeviceCaps <- UD3DRenderDevice::Init <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine" and then it exits. :/

Well this isn't really a demo, but its free and REALLY good, I made a thread about it but i'm inferring from the fact that noone answered that noone has even tried it and thinks its just a goverment recruiting ploy... which it is!, but its a very good one. The game that i'm talking abuot is America's Army, AA for short. Its a multiplayer FPS that will remind you VERY much like a CS knock-off... with better graphics and IMO a little more realism, and little-to-none hacking. I haven't played it for a few months.... so it might've changed a lot since then, its been out for over a year now, and i'm assuming its still free. I think www.americasarmy.com is the address, and i would reccommend for people to try it, and if we get a bunch of people here we could hook up on a server or something.... i might even start playing again. I stopped because of the downside that matches take a while... it takes time to build up your Honor level, and it also took a bunch of time to memorize the huge maps.

That's the game the army made with our tax money . Anti-video game freaks like Joe Lieberman are probably angry about that

That's the game the army made with our tax money . Anti-video game freaks like Joe Lieberman are probably angry about that and it was tax money spent on good use ;D... maybe not good for the government... but good for free fun ;D. I suggest it for people that enjoy team FPS's on large maps. I wouldn't really suggest it for a small try, because it takes a little while to setup and get things going

If you guys see anyone named LakerCL kicking your ass in the XIII demo, well, don't get pissed because that's me. And if you see a guy named DeathCleaver who's the only one who can whoop your ass, Don't get pissed, because that's me

It's such a great game. The cel-shading looks spectacular on it and the comic book style works perfectly. In the intro movie, each time a bullet is fired it shows onomotopia: Ta! Ta!Ta! It's awesome. You should definetly check it out, it's the first of its type.
