For all you Counter-Strike fans out there, a new Counter-Strike using the Half-Life 2 engine will be released around the same time as its father game. Info is a little short but you can see a gameplay video on Gamespot.com

I figured that they would most likely do that and since CS:CZ didnt use the new HL graphics engine. I also heard that CZ was a big let down, hopefully this upcoming version of CS will surpass the original one

I saw the video and it looks pretty sweet. I am glad my new laptop will be able to handle the game (well I would think so).

counter-strike: source? hmmm....if it improves on condition zero im sooo there. not that condition zero was bad. it was awesome.

All of the terrain is interactive and the graphics are atleast 3 times better than Condition Zero. When you fire into a puddle or a body of water, you can see realistic splashes come forth. An example of interactive terrain is the bridge in the Aztec level, you can shoot it down even if people are on it

hmm... that reminds me of the red faction games. they were not great first person shooters, but they were among the first to utilize geomod technology, which allows you to blow up terrain and stuff.
