I've finally scored the beta for WoW and let me tell you, the game is godlike! I've been only playing the game for a day and I've already had a load of great adventures. I'll give you guys a detailed description of one of my journies starting from the moment I open up the .exe file.
The first menu of WoW has a background setting in the orc world and you can see the Dark Portal to the human world. From there I could choose a server and log in to my account. As you can see, I already typed in my info
Once I logged in, there was a new menu that links to support but it's also the loading page for the server I chose.
After finally connecting to the server, I made it to the character creation screen. I had alot of trouble choosing a race, since all of them seem awesome. At first I aimed toward being Night Elf, but in the end I changed my mind.
I decided that I'll be an orc warrior. Feeling that Sektor wasn't a name fit for an orc warrior, I chose the name DeathCleaver to give my character a more intimidating appeal. From there, I hit the enter world button and started my first journey. When it loaded, I was in an orc den and I saw alot of other low level orcs around me. After wandering around a little, I met up with another new character named liquidocelot. He was a shaman so I thought that, since he was a healer, he'd be a great help. I ended up partying up with him and we gained a couple of levels.
Once we got to a decent experience level, I decided that we should go on a journey to check out some other parts of the world. We ended up going north to the orc capital of Orgrimmar and then we headed west past the mountain chain followed by a river which we then crossed. After venturing toward the center of the mainland, liquid and I discovered a great thing about the new land we were on: it was the home of the Tauren! We managed to befriend three native tauren there: Justine the powerful warrior, Bellzbull the shaman, and Torck the trainee warrior. Being 5 strong, we all decided to take on stronger enemies than what we previously fought, which led us to fighting the harpies.
These flying humanoids posed to be nothing more than child's play to our party so we decided to journey to and defeat the legendary underwater beast in the lake bordering a tauren village. After swimming to the bottom of the body of water, we found the creature in a slumber.
We underestimated the power of the behemoth. The only way we would be able to defeat it is by luring it outside of the water and thankfully, after some taunting, we managed to do just that.
The kodo beast was the most formidable opponent that any of us had faced. Its heavy weight and large body could of easily crushed us if we weren't cautious. It's power was unlike anything I had ever seen. It kept on charging and thrashing us, and it even started to drag me down into the water to finish me off. Had It not been for my tauren allies, I would of never been able to see the light of day again.
After a grueling battle the creature had finally fallen, but down with him went the brave tauren shaman bellzbull, who sacrificed his life to deliver the final blow. After mourning over the loss of our ally, we looted the kodo beast's corpse and divided it evenly among us while leaving aside a portion which would have belonged to Bellzbull. After such a long journey with many tough battles, I was finally able to rest and save my adventures for another day.
I hope you guys enjoyed this depiction of one of my journeys in World of Warcraft!
