how do you take a screen cap (pic) of your desktop? I have a program that does it but it's no good because it only lets you take one for 3 sec or it will automatically take one. Plus I don't like the program. So is there some hotkey or something for windows. Yeah, I know it's a n00bish question.

You hit the Prnt Scrn Key at the top of your keyboard. Should be above F10. You can go into paint and EDIT > PASTE and it will come up. Crop what you want and save. Then the best thing to do is go into paintshop pro or any program that converts images and convert it to a smaller size like .jpg or .gif.

My prtscr button is above my insert key, if anyone else wants to try this and has a similar keyboard to mine.

Hypercam is great for video record of desktop and games, even though if unregistered it will have the unregistered version print on the top left corner of the screen, but to get rid of that just expand the video in adobe premiere to make it just out of sight.
