I need a new graphics card for my computer. It has windows XP, One available power slot, and directX 9. Is there any good graphics cards that would work well for that?

Do you use AGP or Xpress video card slots? The Nvidia 7950 or for more of a budget the 7600 series. Also ATI does have their Radeon x1950 series. Those cards will run $200-300. For a cheaper card the 7600 series, the 7900 series nvidia, or the ati x1800 series.

What about looking for a cheap but still effective sli card? He can't do SLi because he said his motherboard only supports AGP

I just got my new graphics card. It is a Ati Sapphire X1650. I had to get a new 500 watt power supply to get it though. How come all the graphics cards boxes have creepy monster like stuff?

also many games for the computer that acctually need a high end card are rated M which could mean monsters and stuff and guns, so A high detailed Monster on the front could be a example of what the buyers (asumed) Bloody horror game could look like, AT THE MAX! oooooou... pretty detailed high resolution hair on his bloody face, got to buy it!

I just got this demo for it called Lava Caves. Your going around in this cave and lava is following all around. It's pretty neat. I can't get it to work as a screensaver though, because that's what it's supposed to be.

Try looking in the readme files it might give instruction on which files to put in the system32 file which is where all the screensavers are held. I had the same thing with an NVIDIA demo that had to manually install to work as a screensaver instead of just a video card demo.

It still doesn't work. Oh, well. And by the way, the ATI version of SLI is Crossfire.
