This is another Tactics game with a twist... Guns...and lots of em... This game from Namco is just...too much fun for me... Although the units design is quite limited (4 races...and almost no apperent diferences in skills or abilities) it has lots of fun stuff to do (specially if you play skirmish match with a friend) You can blow up walls with granades (certain types of walls only) and let your units in "Overwatch mode" so that they can shoot during enemy turn. Also, different types of weapons have different disadvantages and advantages. Here is the official site rebelstar.namco.com/I personally enjoyed it a lot, but thats my opinion...

I never played the X-COM games, but I heard they are a classic series. I would look into Rebelstar Command if I had the time to play it, but unfortunately I don't.
Anyway, a tactical game with guns is a nice change of pace from fantasy games, which seem to dominate the entire handheld tactical genre.

X-COM owns.
This game owns.
This game was developed by the X-COM team.
Connection? I think so.

Yeah it's pretty good and solid. The only downside is the story mode kinda sucks and the game runds kind of slow so it'll take a long time before your chars have moved where you want them to go and have shot where you want them to shoot. A little bit frustrating. But nice features, the peek-on-the-corner strategy is funny!
