Well, I finally got a GameBoy micro, and I must say, it is one of the sexiest thing I've ever seen. It is significantly smaller than the GBA and GBA-SP, and it has a rechargeable internal battery, which means you never have to buy batteries again!
It is sleek looking, and I certainly feel less embarrassed carrying it around than my purple-transparent GBA. The screen is sharp (there is no need to worry about reading text, it's actually easier to read on the micro IMO) and has a very bright back-lit screen.
For anyone who wants a stylish looking GameBoy that can actually fit in your pocket, I highly recommend getting a micro.
EDIT: Let me add one more thing. The speaker on the micro is terrible, but as expected on such a small device. I would highly recommend using earphones for the micro at all times, but hey, earphones are in style thanks to iPod craziness.

I wish they released the Micro instead of the SP. I traded in my old GBA for an SP. And since I have a DS now, I don't even use my SP. I just play GBA games on my DS.

I sold my GBA to get an SP. Now I have a DS. Like Jaggy I have no need for that or the $ to waste on a micro but they do look neat.

If you combine all the GB systems my family has ever had, including the ones my brother and sister own. The ones we bought to replace ones we lost or broke, this is how many GB's my family has gone through:
3 GameBoy's
2 GameBoy Pocket's
4 GameBoy Color's
4 GameBoy Advance's
4 GameBoy Advance SP's
2 Nintendo DS's
Thats a lot of fucking gameboys. And thats only between 3 people, my sister rarely uses hers, and my lil brother always loses his. If I buy a Mirco, it will be the most sickening display of fanboyism you'll ever see. Yet with my impulsive buying habits who knows, lets just hope i dont see one of these in the stores.
