Heyyy... I posted that already....
And besides, FFTA wasn't that bad. And FFTA2, from the little we know about it, seems good. For instance, apparently the kid that goes to Ivalice is a delinquent, not "the new kid".

Well, I wouldn't expect much after playing the first one.. Probably won't bother getting it, unless it gets shockingly good reviews, which I doubt will happen.

And that example you just gave about him makes no difference to the gameplay at all. Oh wow, so he's a deliquent - that changes my whole view of what I thought of the FFTA series (I'm fluent in sarcasm). Apparently the one for the PSX was good but I've never played it so my opinion remains the same until I see some results.

I was about to say how LUCT is better than FFT and that they stole the game mechanics from it....but we have been there and done that. FFT was good but OMG I can't stand the difficulty at times. Never quite finished it but probably should.
As for FFTA......it was decent. TKOL was a better game all in all even if it offered less classes and flashy things. FFTA tried too hard and never was quite successful at anything. The classes were cool but not really special, the card system was awkward and really annoying at times, the missions failed at being something great due to the ability to not complete them all and offering minimal bonuses, and the story was wishy-washy. I bought it and enjoyed it to some degree, but it was not amazing by any standards. I am a bit skeptic about a sequel only because I fear it will be too much like the first one. Now I know a guy that is obsessed with FFTA and beat it about 5 times and it was good for a hand held game. Many other strategy games really failed such as Dynasty Warriors Tactics, but there have been better games like Fire Emblem and TKOL (no bias intended).

Yes, I'll agree with that. Card system = not really. I did like the gameplay, and it did allow for a good deal of customization, although it definately doesn't stand up to TKOL. It was a good game though.
And yeah, I suppose my example really isn't that good. Y'can ignore that then.

That does look pretty sweet. Hopefully it will make its way to the states.

That's um... not it. That's similar, but not it. SquareEnix's making a triple entente of games, that one for the DS, FFTA2 for the DS, and a FFT remake for the PSP. This is FFTA2: www.ffta2.com/Also, "SquareEnix's" is a lot easier to type that it is to say
