Hes right actually, I didnt think of that... $30 a year seems too much for the TSE RPG... Sorry, the most Ill spend on it is $20 a year...

Thanks for the sticky, Oldschool. This might help clear some things up. There is NO guarantee that this RPG will ever be programmed. If it does become programmed, then here is our pitch: The game will remain simple in design and looks, because one of my goals is to preserve oldschool RPG gaming. However, all of todays online RPG's are modernized and seem to lose the essence of oldschool RPGs. I realize that paying to play a 2D, SNES-quality game online may not seem very appealling, but without the concept of profit, this game will never have a chance of existing (since I must hire computer engineers to program this for me). And as for the money in the poll, those are hypothetical numbers. Paypal would most likely be the service for payments, but nothing is final as of now, so please do not make assumptions. This project is highly experimental, but I need to start collecting information now. Thanks for your understanding.

Ok, i did the math:
For $5 every 4 months: $15 a year $1.25 a month 4 cents a day
For $10 every 4 months: $30 a year $2.50 a month 8 cents a day
For $15 every 4 months: $45 a year $3.75 a month 12 cents a day
See, this isnt hard stuff here, it isnt that expensive if you think about it, your thinking of this like you have to pay for the whole year right off the bat, just save your allowence (or if you have a job, it aint that hard) and you'll be able to pay for this with ease.

Yeah, of course I could, but for the TSE RPG? All I ever heard about it was complaints. It seems fun, but I dont know if I want to pay for it... That same money could go to a subscription for a magazine, or LuCT (which Im planning on buying, soon. EBay has a bunch of em under $30...)

All I ever heard about it was complaints. Below is what is improved from the old TSE RPG... Let's say the TSE RPG became an online game. That is, you login to a website after creating a personal account. Your account keeps track of your units, the items you possess, the money you have, etc. You then meet in a chat room where you can challenge other members in battle. All information is saved on the server, so you can play the TSE RPG from any computer with internet access. IMO its worth it. But thats just me.

I've never played it or really talked about it, but it sounds like it's worth it. And if Sokar and whoever else works on it does a good job (which I'm sure they will), than I think it will be more than worth paying however much every four months for.

...a magazine, or LuCT (which Im planning on buying, soon. EBay has a bunch of em under $30...) TEXTNot trying to contradict you or anything, but they will let you pay $30 for something of Ebay for gods sake (or what i like to call it "The Devils Playground", but they wont let you play an online RPG for $10? Im mean if they dont, then they dont, but it seems strange that they will let you bid on Ebay, but not this.

Well, I've never played the thing, so just looking at the situation from the outside, I would say maybe 5 dolares por un mes. Lo siento......sorry, I had to go over to Mexico today.

Its different with a subscription. Besides, Im only doing EBay as a last resort. Im checking all the local gamestores (in one of which, incidently, I saw a $12 Final Fantasy Tactics which I will buy tomorrow...) and various malls... If I cant find it (which I doubt I will, but bleh..) Ill go to EBay...

$5.00 a month. This would HAVE to go through my parents.. and they'd ask what it's for and other crap and of course they don't end up understanding anyway... I don't think I'll be able to play that much either.
