How to Play the TSE RPG

Pretty soon, Silent_Assassin is going to help me post the latest version of the TSE RPG Rulebook, v1.53b.[/b]

Why is this important? Because this will be the first rule book version to see action on the playing field. That's right: the first Beta game will use Rulebook v1.53b.

Before I post it, I want to make some things clear.

I made this thread in order for people to freely ask questions about how to play the TSE RPG. Silent_Assassin and I will answer your questions as best as we can. One thing though: Please read the RuleBook before posting your questions here![/color] It makes S_A's and my life difficult if people keep asking questions that can be answered by the RuleBook. Also, please read other people's questions--some people may be asking the same question as you would.

NOTE: If a rule in the RuleBook is noted as "Subject to Change", this means that the particular rule can be changed WITHOUT THE ACTUAL RULEBOOK BEING MODIFIED.[/b] Please keep this in mind and don't be surprised if such rules suddenly change without notice.

I will have the RuleBook posted here later, and please, let's stay on topic here so all people can benefit from this thread.

It may help to print out the RuleBook before reading it--looking at all that text on a computer screen can be intimidating.

Umm thats confusing... thats a lot of text. Is this thing really worth it?

Don't forget that:

1] Most of the pages are spells, equipment, and accessories. You don't need to memorize these!

2] Much of the information is mainly for the DM's reference. Dodging, counter-attacking, morale effects, spell effects, damage, defense--all of this is managed by the DMs, not the members. The one thing that members really need to know about is the Game Card and modifying it.

3] Your balls will not get cut off if you don't play this game. If you want, wait a bit for others to play and have them test the beta versions first.


We could always play a traditional Forum RPG... (and I know you don't want that, SNKkid.)

Well, if there are no questions, I guess we are all set for taking sign ups for the first beta test game.

As of now, the sign up date is August 15. However, Silent_Assassin and I might move it up in order to get this thing movin'.

We'll keep you updated.
