I actually have an overabundance of time. It's just that I can never get the words to flow correctly. I start to write, then the sentence is all screwed up, and them my mind is already on the next scene.
So I give up before I begin. Sad, but true.

Interesting, but unfortunately I cannot transfer thoughts and ideas as fluidly on paper as I view the story in my mind.

I can write well, if I do say so myself. Research papers are one things, but fiction is another. I can do scenery and physical descriptions well, but I'm not too good with dialogue.

The point really isn't to write well, it's just to write.

My English teacher tells us never to be verbose. This coming from the teacher who also tells us, (and I quote), "Be very precise and accurate, but don't quote."
We all know the best way to be accurate is to paraphrase in your own words or something...

That's... interesting.. I think. I've always been told to illustrate things with direct references (quotes). -_-;
Quotes are nice though. They really help fill up that paper. I don't really enjoy using them though.

I like using them because then the teacher can't argue that you're making things up. "Look, it's RIGHT here in the source, the author said it."

Actually my college stressed quoting. Textual evidence is a crticial backbone to any argument.
But there's no point in writing if it isn't either well or toward a goal, and since today I've learned information that has shattered any hopes of doing either, I will not commit.
