I'm 36 and have been a gamer since before learning to walk. We are talking about the days BEFORE Pong. I was wondering if there are any other gamers over 30 out there? I get a lot of stares from people when they see me with my GBA which doesnt bother me one whit. I also get stares from kids who cannot believe that an adult is playing on "their" system. As for Tactics Ogre all i have to say is if you are an older player that is looking for a challenge and style of gameplay that will not offend your intelligence, then you cannot go wrong with this game. Lets hear it for us old timers! peace, wayne `~<*)))><

I'm only fifteen, but I love old style type games. I think a lot of the new games center too much on graphics, but I think Tactics Ogre has a great balance of gameplay and graphics particularly for GBA.

I'm 15, and i play more old games than i play new ones. I'm still addicted to NES and SNES (SNES esp). I also know that a lot more people that are older are playing games today, especially people in their mid-20's.

Im 17 and I love games for the Snes and Nes. I like them more than games for PS2 and XBox. Most of those games depend on graphics to be good cause they lack depth and storyline. But all the old gamers out there keep "videogames" not just a thing for children.

I'm 18 and love basically anything that's turn-based. My friends (stupid realtime junkies that they are think that I'm unique in that I don't have the skills to play realtime games. That's not true. I'm just really, really patient I get more out of strategy games when they're turn-based, which is one of the reasons why I like Ogre Tactics so much.

Hey I love NES and SNES. My favorite games are for the NES. Graphics do not matter if the gameplay is terrible. I love basic addictive games like Super Dodgeball and Ice Hockey for the Nes.

I totally agree. A lot of the newer games are first over rated and second focus way too much on graphics and not enough on gameplay. I have not bought a lot of games in the past year because most of them, even the ones with the high ratings, don't look like they would be very good games.
I play SNES still and Sega Genesis because I like a lot of the older games a lot better than the newer ones. For instance, I would much rather play Zelda 3 than Final Fanatsy X even though the graphics are not even in the same world.

Yeah, all these great graphics could be considered a bad thing. At least Ogre Battle hasn't forsaken gameplay for graphics, although I will admit better graphics do make games better. But the're still no suplement for gameplay. Oh yeah, back on the topic of age, I'll be 14 on the first.

I think OB64 was a great combination of graphics and gameplay. There are currently way too many games that have totally abandoned gameplay for graphics thus I think the quality of videogames is in severe decline with possibly only a few recent releases in the category of great.
