Did any of you see how Blix shot down our arguments at the U.N.? That was good stuff.

the war has begun...i believe...i haven't checked up on it lately
i know that the eastern parts of the US has especially heightened security these days
and i obtained all the information from various websites...such as CNN and News.Yahoo.com
these are everywhere...you should check them out for measures to take in case your area becomes a target for any terrorist activity

Interestingly enough, it appears that the terror warning was based on some wrong information. I'm glad I didn't waste my time duct taping my house in that case.

oh no a terrorist *gets blown up* Unless you have something constructive to say, don't even bother posting. This isn't some kind of joke...

I hate all this bs going around. I think the only reason Bush wants to invade Iraq is to fulfill his father's dream, to kill Saddam. I am seriously surprised that he still hasn't been shot or something (jk jk). Bush is destroying the US's reputation. Nobody in the UN agrees with his plan to take down Saddam with such poorly supported evidence. I heard Germany and France made up their decision and said they're no way gonna be involved in any of this. Man, Bush is so stubborn, he even said if the UN dont support him, he's goin in alone. The idiot isn't realizing the jeopardy he's putting his country in. If Terrorists attacked us with our OWN equipment, then just imagine how much more they can do. Im especially freaked out since I live in Boston where it borders the east coast, and since its also the place where the terrorists highjacked the planes, too. I hope he gets kicked out of office for everyone's sake.

It's bush up with his old tricks again....I wonder what "TREASURE" he'll get if he takes over Iraq.... i really don't like posting in threads like these, and i have my reasons, but none the less, this is not a war for spoils. just like anyone else, we did this for revenge...no more, no less. at least originally, but that's not my point right now. i've been meaning to do this for a while. www.gamejumpers.com/contempt/gcon029.htmclick and see how shaolin dave feels about this war. i feel the same way... "i have injured a man for insulting me and killed a man for injuring me..." i can't remember where i got that, but "when dealing with a monster(or demon/beast) one must become a monster(or demon/beast)." desert to glass. they hurt us, we make sure they can't do it to others. clean and simple.

Unfortunantly, I saw a Washington Post article in which it was leaked that the Undersecretary of State John Bolton essentially said to the Russian ambassador "We're going no matter what".

I am split between the two sides.
Just because we knock out Saddam doesn't mean the problem is suddenly over. There are plenty of other people who shares his views and may be crazier than him. With Saddam in power, we at least know how he behaves and how much power he has. Zynx is right. Saddam is not crazy: he's not going to recklessly fire weapons all over the place. If we removed Saddam, someone who would fire such weapons could rise to power, and the problem becomes worse. The only way to prevent this would be to occupy Iraq under U.S. martial law, and we all know how popular that would be with other Middle Eastern nations. It would be a convenient base for launching additional ground assaults against other enemies in the Middle East. If we imperialize Iraq, who's next?
However, warfare is a universal language. Regardless of culture, religion, or spoken language, everyone understands the message of war. The UN inspectors will never find Saddam's weapons, and we know that he has them; he is just too damn confident to not have weapons (Think: he allowed us to fly U2 spy planes over Iraq. You don't find that suspicious?). How long are we going to let this guy jerk us around? Think of his resistence and how it encourages terrorist groups around the world. He's no good.
My two viewpoints seem to contradict each other, which reflects my own confusion about which side to take about this issue. One thing I can say: for those who protest the war because they think violence and killing is bad, then they can bite me. War shaped this world, you can't avoid it.

I think the best thing we can do is offer one of his top generals a shitload of money to get rid of Saddam. That is the best possible outcome I can think of.
