[glow=navy,2,300]In grade 9, we went to Quebec City. It was really cool, we spent 2 nights on the bus (16 hour bus ride from here) and 2 in hotels. The bus wasn't as bad as it sounds though, it was a luxary one with tv/vcr and a bathroom. We went to a giant waterfall, an huge mall with rollercoaster and a giant arcade in it, through old quebec (which has rock walls around that part of the city), its really nice there.
This year (grade 11 now), we might go to Montreal. We'll go for the same length of time, but this time we'll get to go to a park owned by six flags and to Olympic Stadium (hopefully we watch a game)!
If you are wondering why we take trips to french places, it is because I am in french Immersion and have to take 3 of my 8 classes in a year in french.[/glow]

Wow, so that means you're pretty damn good at French! My school sucks. I haven't been on a field trip since middle school. The closest thing to a fieldtrip I've had was going to Six Flags but that wasn't even during the school year, it was one day after classes ended.

I went skiing in Colorado with about 40 other students once. I like skiing. Thats where I perfected my SSB:M JigglyPuff technique. True I never won, but I had three times as many kills as the other guys put together.
Whats with Canada and Huge-ass malls anyway?

lol. Are you japanese? I was going to go to a school-sponsored trip to Japan once but I couldn't 'cause stuff came up. How was japan? No I'm not Japanese. Um... there was alot of Porn. Everywhere, like in pet shops and hotel lobbies. Sumo wrestling was on everyday ;D. We visited a bunch of temples and shrines which were neat. They had nice beaches. I went there because my Dad had to do some space physics crap with the Japanese like building an Orbital death ray or something... I was 8 and we didn't have cable so...

I'm Japanese. Full Japanese. I've never been to Japan, though. Err... I haven't been able to post in the past few days because of homework, and I'm only in eighth grade. I might as well post my schedule.
Period 1: World Religions This is probably the most boring period. Yeah. I posted something about it on page four or so. I really don't look foward to going to this class.
Period 2: Japanese 1 B This is an okay class. All you do is worksheets, quizzes, and tests, though. Still, the teacher tries her best to make the class interesting, and it is, to some extent.
Period 3: Band 2 I was one of the select few who went to Band 2 last year, when I was a seventh grader playing with mostly eighth graders. I hoped I would go to Band 3 this year, but it turns out eighth graders can't be in Band 3. If you want to know, I play trumpet. And this class, I kinda am anxious to go to.
Period 4: History and Geography 8 This is a pretty good class. The teacher makes the class fun, well, as fun as school can possibly be. This is one of those classes that I look foward too.
Period 5: Physical Science It's a fancy name for "Basic introduction to physics and chemesty" and this class is okay. There are labs and stuff, but lots of quizzes.
Period 6: Study Hall This class all you do is your homework. They should revove this class entirely and make the school day 45 minutes shorter, in my opinion.
Period 7: English You're at the mercy of your teacher here. If she hates you, you're doomed to get a C+. If she likes you, you'll get an A. Too bad she hates me...
Period 8: Algebra 1 Honors Yipee, I'm in an honors class! I get .5 added to my math GPA because I'm taking an honors course. Only 60 out of 180 people are in honors. So that is 2/3, or 66.7%. (oh god i just noticed a mistake here and im gonna change it) Now we use the equation y=mx+b for easy plotting on a graph using the slope intercept. Well, that's my math class.
And that's all of my classes. Post your schedule if you have time.

well i have a different kind of schedule since im in grade 8, all the subjects change from monday until friday...so i'll just mention monday's class.... Period 1: Math this is the first class which i tend to fall asleep. I like math but i hate my homeroom teacher cuz he talks, talks, talks about all this stuff unrelated to math and before he notices our math period is gone. Period 2: History oh god ...i hate history. One of my worst subjects i guess. I dont know how u can like to learn about the past...it sooo boring. The teacher makes it even worst because he puts on "Erin Clapton"..(singer)...grrr...that just irretitates me a lot.. Period 3: French im pretty good with this subject..i get above 90s so i dont have a problem with that but now my teacher, oh boy, well she's a goodie two shoes....and even worst, a sl*t.....but i dont care since she likes me and gives me good results. Period 4: Music YAY!! a class i could rest. I play the flute..im pretty good at it but i still havent learned all the notes on it...like be an expert though. I'm joining band which is good. I really want to play the drums in the future Period 4 + 5: the two last periods are my english classes. I'm good in english but i still hate the work they give us. Draw a venn diagram comparing ppl. Then read biographys......its ok i dont have trouble but i hate it as a subject.... ok thats my day for monday....i dont have a lot of time but i would expand....lol...

Grade 8 we had a Quebec ski trip... and last year our school band went to Boston. Next year we plan on going to Cuba. My schedule isnt bad this semester, but the next year and a half will be absolute hell.
Gr 11 Semester 1: SL English, SL English, SL Philosophy, SL Philosophy Semester 2: SL French, HL Math, HL Bio, HL Chem
Gr 12 Semester 1: Same as Gr 11 Semester 2 Semester 2: HL Math, HL Bio, HL Chem
SL (standard level) are the equivalent of gr 12/OAC(grade 13) courses.
HL (higher level) courses are the equivalent of grade 12/OAC and first year university courses
This plus side is that if I pass my HL courses with a 5 or higher (IB grades on a scale of 1-7), I can be exempt from those first year courses when I go to university, because they're the same thing.

All your schedules confuse me. I only have one schedule though it's different on blocks days, where classes are 90 minutes long and there's a study hall. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday:1st- AP American Government/Economics 2nd- AP English Literature 12 3rd- AP Calculus AB 4th- Physics Honors 5th- Drama 2 6th- AP European History Wednesday:All the odd periods (Govt/Econ, Calc, Drama) except Study Hall is after Govt and before Calc. I have it with my Euro history teacher. Thursday:All the even periods (English, Physics, Euro history) with Study Hall after English and before Physics. The one thing I'm mad about is that my school doesn't offer AP Physics. That ticks me off

I like how our schedule works. We never have the same class for two days in a row. We have 4 classes each day and 8 classes in total (well, some people have extra ones that they go to during lunch or in the morning or after school). The first 4 classes are Day 1 classes and the last 4 are Day 2 classes. Day 1 and Day 2 alternate every school day. My schedule's like Day 1: A - English B - Physics C - Study (or spare) D - Math Day 2: E - Socials F - French G - Chemistry H - Desktop Publishing

My school only offers Spanish, German, French, and sign Language. Noe I don't want to be mean to deaf people, but sign language? I just took the required two years of spanish and was done with it. I probly would have taken another year but my teachers were so bad (pretty much everyone in my class was screwed) That I'd have no chance of passing Spanish 3. I just discovered I like chemistry though. Thats good I guess.
Oh, and another thing. We never get any good school trips. My principals are all Aggies so all our class trips are "Go watch the aggies play some other college". I wish I could go skiing in Quebec. Well actually I already have but I meant on a school function.

Oh btw, what's an aggie
