An aggie is someone who went to Texas A and M. Its almost impossible to go to school in Texas without learning about this because about 1/3 of your teachers are aggies.

My school only offers French, Spanish or Japanese. I wish there was Chinese. > Each class is 80 minutes long with the exception of Friday (65 mins long). And this is how our schedule is for Mon - Thur A/E - 8:35 - 9:55 Break - 9:55 - 10:10 (actually the bell rings at 10:05 and you have 5 mins to get to class) B/F - 10:10 - 11:30 Lunch - 11:30 - 12:25 C/G - 12:30 - 1:50 D/H - 1:55 - 3:15 Our schedule for Friday: A/E - 8:35 - 9:40 B/F - 9:50 - 10:55 Lunch - 10:55 - 11:25 C/G - 11:30 - 12:35 D/H - 12:40 - 1:45 Gwahahaha. We get out early every Friday. Your school offers Japanese? Darn! I would take that in a snap if they offered it here. I see that your classes are each a little more than an hour... That must be brutal! I have every class everyday but they're 47 minutes each
Ahh, so that's what an aggie is.

80 minutes seemed long at first, especially when they were only 45 mins in elementary but with all the teachers jabbering and all, it really isn't that long and you get used to it. =X Besides, I can sometimes finish my homework in time during math so I don't have to take that damned heavy textbook home.

Well, who would have thought that one of my threads would have jumped to nine pages in one week...okay, maybe two....
Well we got Les Mis, and it's actually okay. Except the one part where some lady says something in French and the footnote says, "patois of the French Alps"...I thought to myself, If it's in French, and I can't understand it, is the French foot note going to help?

I usually don't get a double-period of something here in high school... but when i do i don't find them TOO bad... you don't notice the time pass by as much, just feels like an extra-long period, not twice as long though. Passing time makes a clear difference between periods to me and then you feel all the time... but my schedule is more like sektor's, i have MOST classes every day, for like about 50 minutes on mon, tues, thurs, fri. and if its a short wed. then they're only about 40 minutes... maybe a little more.

Well, I like alternating days because then I can leave my homework til the next day to do if I have something else to do that day and I'm too busy or whatever. I still CAN'T BELIEVE I continued to take French in gr 10 instead of Beginning Japanese 11. x*O

My school has a budget problem so it switched back to a seven period day. I personally like it better than alternating days. Even though I did that for all of middle school the periods just seem to long.

I think 45 minutes is way too short when you have something like a chapter test. Sometimes, even 80 minutes isn't long for our tests (especially socials).

Yeah i completely agree.. and the teachers hate to split it over several days because they know everyone memorizes the questions and just figures them out with the book in front of them and stuff. the solution? My teachers give PARTS of the tests on days, so we don't know the other parts... but atleast we know that we don't need to study for anything already given...

I just get shorter tests ;D
Or it might just seem that way cause I work fast. I'm always one of the first three people to finish a test or essay or what have you.

My school offers Spanish, French, German, Latin, Italian, and of course English. It would be great if it offered Japanese or something.
Oh btw, what's an aggie
Jaggy, how long are each of your classes? It would be great it they had japanese and I said that earlier.

[glow=navy,2,300]At my school you can only take French and English. Of course if you are like me, you can take more courses other than just plain old french in french though. My courses go like this
HalfTheYear --I-- AllYear --I-- HalfTheYear A-----B----C---I--D---E---I--A----B----C
You take 5 subjects each half of the year and D and E alternate every other day (so you end up taking them just as much as the half year classes). You have 4 classes a day and they are like an hour and 16 minutes each (or something like that).[/glow]
