They have found a new "planet" beyond, well accutually a hell of a lot beyond, pluto. Dr. Michael Brown of the California Institute of Technology and his team of astronomers, using the recently launched high power Spitzer Space Telescope, found Sedna during an ongoing three-year outer solar system project. It is 10 billion+ miles away from earth. The name Sedna is from an Inuit Goddes of water. It is supposedly 300km less in diameter than pluto. Most likely it will not be dubbed a planet as it is smaller than pluto, who already has controversy over it.

hmm interesting stuff. Maybe we should send a probe to check it out even though it may take 100 years to reach it.

It can't be a moon because they orbit planets.

Of course, since we're just seeing it for the first time, we're probably seeing the "Sedna" 1 billion years ago. The light from that area may now just be getting to us. Think about that: going the speed of light for 1 billion years. Talk about jet-lag.

They've been saying they found new planets for years now. I remember back when I was in 6th grade ('98) I did a project for science on a report of a "new" planet. I'm sure there have been atleast 10 'planets' that scientists discovered after the 9 ones we've grown to adore

As long as we live in a never ending galaxy there will be an infinite amount of planets.

Well, since I dont believe in God or Jesus or all that religious crap, no Thus disproving that you're not a Buddhist. Old quote: Admit Anthoney, you're tired. Now, to get back on topic before Crono slaps our hands with rulers...... Do you guys ever think it would be possibe to have a colony on Mars or Venus? I heard that we already do have the technology, but we're not using it. What would be the point of an off-Earth colony anyways?

What would be the point of an off-Earth colony anyways? First off - I have never said Im not buddhist. I said Im a terrible one since i dont feel like following the principles very much at this point in my life Now - We might put one on Mars, but it would be a while before Venus. And i dont really see a point. Were running out of resources anyway
