I saw this movie last weekend. It was pretty good and accurately depicts historical facts. This is among the first movies that showed how powerful the Arabs were in time past and considering I am an Arab and I'm sick of all the heat against us from the media, this movie was definetly refreshing. It shows peace between Muslims, Jews, and Christians and it really isn't prejudice to any particular side.

One thing for sure is that I am on the Arab's side when it comes to media prejudice. But if you say it's not prejudiced, then I need to see it to satisfy my curiosty. Does it take place during the Crusades? Because if I remember correctly, no peace ever came of that.

The story revolved around Orlando Bloom who is sent to Jerusalem to assist in assuring the peace between all the major religions. I'm trying to say as little as possible so I wont spoil the movie but you'll have to see it to know what I mean

I cant imagine Orlando Bloom being in a movie about arabs. But if its a good historical depiction I might go see it, despite my hatred for Legolas

It's about as historically accurate as Gladiator.

Not many people know that the Arab nations during and before the Crusades were among the most advanced civilizations in the world at that time. The exploration of the New World began in part of looking for a way around the land routes (controlled and taxed by the Arabs) to the Far East.

It's about as historically accurate as Gladiator. So that must mean that Kingdom of Heaven is based on a pure fiction. Orlando Bloom has been so typecasted in Hollywood, he will never be able to play in anything except battle epic movies.
