In my second game I am trying to make one of my soldiers an angel knight. What do I have to do exactly to get one(I've met all the requirements but not sure how the transition is made)?

make sure they are lawful and have the archangels feather to get that emblem get killed and be ressurected now when in a battle(not training) let him/her die and it will say something like "whered he go? or my life has just begun and boom angelknight

it doesnt always work, but when it does, ull know about it. It says "Transmigration" as if it was a spell, therell be a beam of light, and therell be ur angel knight!

Well, that should work. If not you can either convert one later on or get Lobelia.

Well, he died in a battle and he stayed dead. So do I continue to kill this poor soldier until he decides to change into an Angel Knight?

Also, you can kill the person yourself, you don't have to wait for the enemy to do it. You can't do it in training because the person doesn't actually "die". If it doesn't work the first time, resurrect them and try again. Or suspend before you whack 'em, then keep reloading till it works.

OK I tried like 10 times from a suspended game and every time he just died. Am I too soon in the game to get one or is it just bad luck with getting the transmigration?

You can get the archangel emblem IN TRAINING by using ressurection on someone who got knocked out. I have done it. BUT YOU CANNOT MAKE AN ANGEL KNIGHT THIS WAY, ONLY THE EMBLEM.

Wow. You all must have had bad soldiers or i had a really good one. My Valkyrie transmigrated at the Battle before you get Euphaire, and she became better than everyone else. She could take hits almost extremely well, was very agile, and stronger than Ivanna, who spent her life as a Valkyrie in my book. Equip a good angel knight with the holy set and she kicks ass.
