I was just wondering if anyone could break it down even easier on the whole alignments and elements. what they mean stat wise and whatnot.
so far scanning the board i see that water is good for defence, but i'm not sure what all the rest of them are good for.
is one better damage is one better magic spells? does anybody know?

Your guys will be a bit stronger or weaker depending on different situations when dealing with elements and alignments. Basically here is the best way to sum it up. When on terrain aligned with the character's element you get a bit of a stat bonus....if it is opposite element terrain you get a stat decrease. When people attack you with the same element, they do less. If they have the opposite, they do a bit more. Alignment doesn't matter except for becoming certain classes as far as I am aware. Simply same alignments help you and opposite can hurt you but the stat differences are pretty small and barely noticeable. (ex: knight does 59 damage instead of 49 to a character with the opposite element)
