I can tell you a few. FF2- on ebay, between 18 and 25 american. FF3- on ebay, between 22 and 30 american. SoM-on ebay, between 25 and 32 american.
I recently (within last 8 months) bought FF2 and 3 and Secret of Evermore. You have to watch all of the games and wit for a cheap one to come up.

Some oldschool games can be even more than that. I've seen people trying to sell TO(which was originally made before 1996 so it counts as oldschool) for $150.

Thats a pretty good definiton for it, but somehow I still don't count Sega Dreamcast or Nintendo 64 as Old School systems. I don't know why, but if I were to say what an Old School system was to somebody who didn't know what it was, I would probably tell them that they are systems that a system that does not perform well enough to have games that are completely 3D. But, that is just my opinion.

FFVI. My favourite FF as well. SMRPG was also really good. And I agree that SoM isn't that great. I personally liked SD3 a lot better. At least your party members in that game aren't as retarded as the ones in SoM who don't do ANYTHING.

SD3 has better graphics and sprite quality than SoM. IMO, if you want to really enjoy SoM, play it before SD3 or it will lose its touch (it did for me when i replayed it)

ITs kinda funny that SMRPG didnt even make the top 100 list in egm's top 100 a while back. Actually, it did. I liked that issue enough t save it. I believe it was around.....35.

Also hated how in SoM, you can't see what stats go up or down when you're buying equipment... I just can't stand it when it's like that.

As something different, I really enjoyed Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia. For more traditional I liked Rudra's Secret Treasure, but no real favourite as it changes as a I play more games.
