hmm... some good guy wrestling the bad guy off the cliff and dies in the process is probably one of the most used cliches in games, books, etc. i mean, sometimes the character is one you'd normally hate but other times it's someone you like a lot. a pity the good guys always have to die to beat the bad guys.
my favorite psx game is probably ff8. i mean, i know why some people think its bad and all, but the storyline ain't half bad, and one of the only cons i can point out is the summoning of gfs in battle is probably too repetitive. i mean, who wants to see the same old clip over and over again?

i didn't get very attached to the characters. I only remember Squall, Quistis, and Rinoa, (that's main girl right? lol, i changed her name so i don't quite remember). I remember Zell and Laguna too, but forget everything about them. Oh right! and Sorceress Edea and Siefer, but i only remember what happens to them. Not much about them. *Gets possessed by an urge to play that game again...*

I always feel like playing FF8 again after thinking of the characters, but when I actually get to playing it, I get impatient since the first part is damned boring and then I stop again.

That's right...you have to go to that stupid monster area...and the cafeteria. FF8 should have started on the train.

Yeah, exactly. That's the part that I feel like playing from.

The part where the plot begins. It's like watching Seabiscuit.
"Hey, is there a story yet? It's been 45 minutes..."

I think the FF series has started going downhill once 8 came out, 8,9,10, and 11 arent my cup of tea, but thats just me.

8 was the worst in the series. I have 9 but have yet to put it in my machine. 7 was of course the best and I found III/6 to be pretty good but not my thing.

Lets put it this way, 3 and 7 are one of the best in the series, no one can deny that. Now if you have a little more emotional attatchment to one of the other games, I could see you liking them more, but otherwise, 3 and 7 have to be in the top...3 best FF games ever.Edit: Unless UNLESS your one of those people where graphics matter, then I can see you not even putting any of those on the list. And shame on you
