I just broke my old Super Mario Bros. record of 10.24 minutes. My record is now 7.41 minutes.

On You-Tube if you look it up there is a guy who beat it in about 5 minutes. I haven't watched it in a while, so I don't really know how he did it. I don't think it's all ligament though...

Some people have used emulators and slowed the game play to achieve faster times.

yeah but mario is such an old/relatively simple game that people have been able to get down to near emulator times without having to use them
still, under ten minutes is pretty good

I didn't use an emulater, incase you think I did. I did not think you did. I said that others have admitted to using them for faster times in many games. I believe your record to be 100% real.

I've been trying to beat it in diffrent ways. Like without warps or without the B button. I don't think you do it without the B button so I only use it when there is no other way to continue.
