So obviously for more powerful spells you need higher INT
For more powerful attacks with hammers/swords etc.=higher STR
With bows I believe its AGI that increases attack power, is this also true for crossbows?
Don't suppose there's a list somewhere of all the weapon types and what increases their attack power...?

I am going to say STR increases all physical weapon's power in the game such as fans, swords, bows, crossbows, etc. The exceptions would be spells cast from weapons (wands).

I totally agree. STR, or Strength, increases offensive power for anything except wands. Use SoS's for those. Sword Emblem expendables will do wonders for making powerhouses out of Alphonse (Or whatever corny name u name him )

A bit late to the party, but recently I was doing some experiments with dual-wielding Snapdragon and a one-handed Shortbow. It turns out that even with the immense strength boost of the Snapdragon, it doesn't influence the attack power of the Shortbow enough to make bow attacks, or even Lachesis do a decent amount of damage. Honestly you'd be better off using a two-handed bow with no Snapdragon, the difference is so little. I'm not sure if this is because STR might be percentage based, and since the shortbow has such a low damage it won't get improved by much.
I've tried the Snapdragon/Shortbow out on Alphonse, an Angel Knight, and a Fairy. All three had sub-par ranged attacks that were worse than a two-handed bow. If anyone's still here, does STR play a part in determining the range of the bows? I've been able to snipe targets outside of the bow's highlighted shooting range before.
