10 years...
After 10 years of waiting, a remake is all they have for us? Excuse me if I don't sound too enthusiastic about this game, but after waiting 10 years for any sort of news, I was expecting a little something more. And on top of that, the PSP? Nobody plays the PSP - it lost the race a long time ago to the DS. OH, but I guess since they remade FFT for the PSP, this was bound to follow, right? Pathetic.
Anything new? Oh WOW, a new character you guys! [sarcasm]That changes everything![/sarcasm] There used to be a time when developers would actually put effort into their games. Gone are those times.
And, way to be creative with the name; Wheel of Fortune?! What's the matter; a decade not enough time to come up with a title that's not related to a f**cking game show? If I were the person in charge of this remake, I'd fire whoever pitched that title to me. On the spot. Douchebag.
I'll be happy when I hear the release of the next episode in the saga. And when it's not for the PSP.
End of Rant.

@.o PSP > DS for Tactics Ogre DS > PSP for Ogre Battle
I'm just happy there is now another game coming. They are doing this to revitalize the series, so that they can possibly finish the series at last. Also, they are fleshing out the story and characters, smoothing out the rougher parts of the plot, and upgrading the battle system.
The Wheel of Fortune actually pertains to old sayings from like the middle ages. Ever heard of "O Fortuna"? That song was composed by Carl Orff from a medieval poem. One of the lyrics pertains to Fate's being a wheel. It's not the developer's fault that a dumb game show happens to share the same name.
Anyway, you're entitled to your own opinion, but please don't be so... visceral in your bashing of the game before the gaming community knows more about it.

Interesting news. It would be even more interesting if this made it to the United States (I doubt it at the moment). I am glad to see they are releasing a game in the Ogre Battle universe, even if it is a re-make. It is at least a good sign the creators are thinking about the series and will hopefully release a new game down the road.

First of all, that post was in no way addressed at you. Secondly, your inequalities have no base. Who's to say if the turn based tactics part of the game is experienced better on the PSP than the DS? Furthermore, if they wanted to revitalize the series, they should have at least released it on both handhelds as it would net them MORE fans in the long run. (I don't need to bring number of sales into this, do I?) Also, they are fleshing out the story and characters, smoothing out the rougher parts of the plot, and upgrading the battle system One new character is introduced from what I read. What is there to upgrade in the battle system? I mean, it is pretty straight forward already. I don't see how that justifies spending $40-$50 (+ cost of PSP if one doesn't have it) in these tough economic times. Ah, that does make more sense. However, it does not mean they should've gone ahead with it. Change it up a bit. It's not like they were short on time. Ex. If they wanted something to do with Fate, they could have gone with a name pertaining to the three Fates; "Thread of Life" - "Wheel of Destiny" - "String(s) of Fate" and other possibilities... A remake is a remake. I'm just saying... I expected more from them after all this time. Why not do something creative with the Nintendo 3DS on the horizon? IF it was one of the first games to be released on it, the series might get the attention it truly deserves.

Interesting news. It would be even more interesting if this made it to the United States (I doubt it at the moment). Square-Enix has already announced it for the US, and the official website is www.tacticsogregame.comFair enough, Dark. I agree with your statement about the 3DS . Who knows, maybe they'll do a remake of OB64, seeing as quite a few N64 games are being remade for the 3DS.

It just bothers me to no end that the game is out of my reach. I could go and buy the PSP but, honestly this is probably the only game I'd get for it.
I hope they don't remake OB64. I like the gameplay in TO way more than that of OB. I find that I'm more in control of the situation but maybe that's just me. Besides, I really want a new chapter in the storyline. Doesn't matter at what point in time.

I too have no interest in a PSP and find it annoying that it is only on that system.

NICE!!! Wow, this is amazing news. I've never played LUCT. I can't wait. So glad I checked back here. It looks like once that game comes out, we're going to have ourselves a bustling forum once more . Woo!

Hmm...almost makes me wish I owned a PSP....almost.
Kind of a lame name for the game to be honest. I saw that name, along with the "new character" tag, and I thought they put in Pat Sajak as the rogue.
I'm kind of a purist too when it comes to remakes. All of the characters, locations, and races have different names and spellings. I don't care if it wasn't localized properly the first time! It's Denim, not Denam! Catiua and Vyce? Really?
Oh btw hi all! I missed you! ;D

After the remake don't expect anything for another 10 years.
They don't seem to be going about revisiting the franchise in a manner conducive to the production of a new game. At this point it's only a nostalgia buy. Which is a tremendous shame because we all hold the series so close to our hearts.
