The only thing with those adventure games like Monkey Island and Longest Journey is that I lose my patience with them and I never finish them. But Grim Fandango and The Longest Journey would still have to be my favorite graphic adventure games.

When that happens, I just find a walkthough. Yeah, it's quite unfortunate that I have to resort to that, too. The only adventure game that I beat with minimal walkthrough help was Myst III: Exile, and damn did that feel good!

I never use walkthroughs on those games, it defeats the point IMO. You guys should try Schizm if you thought those took a long time. In that game you would need to look at far off architecture and figure out its geometric signifigance, and other such things. It took me quite awhile.

No, Schizm is next to impossible. Believe it or not, I beat that game without a walkthrough. I feel pretty. ;D
Drowned God is impossible.

I found Riven impossible. Syberia is pretty challenging, too

My Faves are Everquest And Civilization 3. Also, Traitors Gate gets the damn near impossible award. Although I lost interest in that too.

I also like the Marathon series (precursor to Halo). Bungies made all my favorite FPSs.

Dude, that game freakin' owns!! Or are you being sarcastic? Haha, I played that game so much... I'm serious ;D. Me and my dad play this game all the time!! It is above war3 because I prefer turn based strategy over RTS, and heroes 4 was a dissapointment , stupid 3do, have you heard about the WoG version? (WoG= In The Wake of The Gods) It was made by some guy and he lets people download it for free. It's awesome in my opinion, I don't remember the site name though... Try a search engine or try a HOMM fansite for a link if your interested...
