I was wondering if anybody had the PC game, Impossible Creatures. For those who don't know, its a strategy game where you get to mix animals for your army. It's pretty interesting and has great graphics.

Impossible Creatures... Hmm.. I never heard of it. Is it fairly new? Whenever I think of Impossible Creatures I remember the old game Nightmare Creatures

I THINK I might have heard of it somewhere. The name Impossible Creatures sounds familiar. Don't know much about it though.

Oh come one! I know I'm not the only mad scientist here! Well, it came out, I think maybe a year ago...mabye. It has a cool campaign, which is really challenging. The best melee creature you can get is an elephant with a scorpion....ummmmm.....super awsome melee Scorpiphant.....ughh!

I was a beta tester for this game and it was AWESOME, they took down the beta tho and i never got around to buying it. It's really fun tho, i recommend it.
theres some flaws including, the buidling and resource management were messed up and almost useless in the beta version atleast, but just the joy of being able to combine 50 (in the beta it was only like 20 or 25) animals all together is awesome. You can only combine 2 animals at a time, but everyone's army is specialized because someone might take a hawks wings+legs and a bears head, while another might take a bear's body for health and a hawk's head for speed and sight.

I think. It is kind of, and I stress that, like Starcraft, Warcraft etc. You start out with a Lab (Nexus, Command center, Tree of Life, Necropolis etc.) and Henchmen (Drones, Peons etc.) They build different buildings for creating the creatures and buildings that upgrade the animals as well. You can create artillery, melee, long range etc. animals, and some even come with a special ability.

Whoa, that actually sounds pretty cool. Gene Splice Animals? Is that the name of the game?
Anything like Starcraft or Warcraft is good...

Whoa, that actually sounds pretty cool. Gene Splice Animals? Is that the name of the game? Anything like Starcraft or Warcraft is good... well in the beta version i dont think it was too much like starcraft or warcraft other than the fact that it IS a real time strategy. The way it worked in the beta was that, you made 9 different creatures (they had some term for them) that were combinations of 2 out of 50 (20 or so in the beta) animals, and you picked 9 good ones and it was called an "army" for a game you picked one of your "armies" and could only build those creatures. Now to make it slightly fairer, the game used some variable determining system so that when you finished your animal it was ranked a level 1 - 5, and to build higher level creatures u had to construct different buildings, and it also cost more to build higher level stuff, so an ideal army would have like 2-3 low-level creatures 3-4 mid-level creatures, and 1-2 high level creatures. Then, if the creature could fly it had to be built at a special flying creature building, if it was a swimmer it had to be built at a water place, if it was land-only it was built at a land place, and if it was amphibious it could be built at the water and the land places. o and Treasurefinder, how'd u learna bout this? do you own it and were looking for ppl to play with? Because if you did i might consider actually looking for it and buying it... stress on *might*. I almost forgot about this game heh. You also got to name all the animals, and during battles you could see the names, it was pretty funny.

Well, another one of my favorites is a Musk Ox or Gorilla with an Archerfish. Herding and Long Range/Water Artillery. My favorite level is the one where you fight Velika La Pette. All of the natives call her the "Evil Sky Witch". She makes Gorillas with Eagles and there is a scene from teh Wizard of Oz in there. (Fly my pretties, fly!) Too bad I shot them all down with my Anti-Air Towers....
