It starts up fine but when I try to make a new game, it crashes right when the cinematic finishes.

I think it does. Geforce FX 5500. It runs Doom 3 and Half Life 2 just fine, I dont see why Oblivion would be any exception. I may have non up to date drivers though, I'll have to check on that

There's a stickied topic on GFAQs that lists all the video cards it supports. I looked up yours and it says it may be extremely weak or may not run at all.

Ugh, just wonderful... Sigh, looks like I'm going to have to wait until I pick up a job this summer and get myself a new video card to experience Oblivion... Kinda sucks. I have more than enough of everything else.. 3 ghz processor and 1.5 gigs of ram

I run mine on low but I have a Radeon 9600. It sucks that the graphics card hinders you. Oh my character is a level 9 Knight  |

I tried this over my friend's house and all I have to say is that this game is ~AMAZING~. I chose to be a mage and I'm loving it. Dark Elf named Sektor, haha. Kinda sucks that my primary spell is fireball against all those oblivion enemies but eh, I'll pick something up further down the road. Until I can get a better video card, I'll only be able to play it at my friend's house though  . |

I'm currently playing as my thief (Argonian). Only level 3 though. It's really fun being a thief though, so I probably won't get back to my warrior or mage anytime soon. I'm in 3 guilds right now. Just need to join Dark Brotherhood. >=D

I think people are too busy playing to post lol. I am now like level 14 (could be 20) and destroying quests. School is almost over though and exams are coming up soon.

My PC isnt powerful enough to run it, and I doubt i'll buy a 360 anytime soon.
Hell, I just bought a new slim ps2 w/ 8" screen yesterday, and I'd much rather have that then a 360 (I play my friends 360, but IMO isnt worth spending $300-$400 for one).
PS, my old PS2 is starting to suck (old age i guess) so thats why im getting the new one. And im getting the screen so Im able to play it in other places than just in front of a TV (like my lovely PSOne w/ screen that I've already put 100's of hours into).
