This game sounds pretty good from reviews and what I've read. I may check it out. It's so damned expensive though, so I guess I'll just get it on ebay or something.

I am also going to wait for the moment. I'll probably get Oblivion when I get a new computer and also when the expansion (for online play) is available.

I just thought of something that might be a problem - my video card. I don't think it's "high end" enough to run it nicely. It's an ATI X600 Pro PCI-Express 256 MB. Augh. It was listed as one of the "low end" video cards on that stickied topic at GFAQs. Ugh. I wonder how big of a problem this would be? I don't want to buy this game and have it run crappily on my comp. What video cards do you guys have?

I use a Radeon 9600 and it works fine on low settings.

Oh, ok. Guess mine should be fine then. What exactly does it tone down on low settings anyways?

You will need to remove all of the lighting effects like bloom lighting, dynamic shadowing, Anti-Aliasing. It will turn most of them off on low settings and you can turn things down even further. My game does not look amazing at all but it runs.

Blah, that kind of sucks. Oh well, as long as it runs, I suppose. I'll probably be getting this game soon since I know someone who has it and he said he'd give me a copy. I really shouldn't play it until school is over though, but we all know that probably won't happen.

Ok, I got this game yesterday. It actually runs on medium settings and runs better than I thought, even though it doesn't look as good as it should. I think I'm already addicted, and finals are coming up. Augh. So far, I'm playing it with a warrior. I made a mage first, but decided to use a warrior first instead. It takes like 20 minutes to create a character. -_-; Too many options for editing the face.

I made a warrior character too but all I seem to do is run around and steal lol. Join Thieves and Dark Brotherhood!

Hahaha. I may make a thief later and then try to join Dark Brotherhood (yes, how evil). I didn't really know what I was doing with my mage so I stole things without even intending to. The first time, I just paid the fine. The 2nd time, I resisted arrest and that bastard guard chased me everywhere (literally), including in someone's. He killed me like 4 times, so I just stole a horse and fled. It worked though, so it's all good. Even though that was illegal as well. I think I'll just stick with my warrior for now. The annoying thing is I keep increasing skills that I don't want to increase. Augh.

Woot! I have Oblivion now. A friend and I bought another one of my friends oblivion for his birthday. Naturally, we transferred the cd files to a portable harddrive and leaked it onto our computers. Got a no-cd crack and it's good to go . I just installed it last night, but I havent tried it yet.
