I am finally getting a GBA SP. Since I would never buy one and my dad was wanting to give us stuff for xmas, I decided why not. I got the Gold SP combo pack from Toys R Us with a free copy of Mario bros 3 for GBA and a mail in offer for free headphones. all at $99.99. Best deal going. I think I am going to trade-in/sell Mario Bros 3. since I already own it for NES and would never play it on the GBA SP.

[glow=navy,2,300]That's an awsome deal. If I really wanted one (and there was a Toysrus around here) I would have got it too. I don't think that I really need one because my normal GBA is still in good shape.[/glow]

Aw.... you should've gotten Gamecube instead. Well, the SP is nice too, and when you get it you can play Mario + Luigi with it ;D Great news

Actually I have a GBA but I am getting tired of no light and screen getting dirty. Plus now I can play SP, then while recharging I can play GBA. And no need to buy more batteries for awhile. Back to Ghostly, I WOULD NEVER BUY A CUBE UNLESS IT WAS $50. Gamecubes blow and it reflects Nintendo's sales. I only want Skies of Arcadia, Metroid Prime, MKDD, and maybe Wind Waker. THAT IS IT, no SMB:melee, no star fox adventures, nothing! Thus I refuse to waste my money on something I wouldn't play. Plus an SP is easy to lug around.

Why don't you ask a GCN for Christmas or your birthday then you wouldn't be wasting YOUR money now would you?

GCNs don't blow, they just don't have a very good game library. But really, Nintendo needs to get with the program instead of using what marketing strategies they think is good or their sales will stay like that.

I would have never gotten an SP, except my L and R buttons both broke, and they are used a lot in some games. Hell, you can't even start a fight in TO without the R button. Now I have the nice chrome SP, with fully functional buttons too. And you can play the SP WHILE it's plugged and charging, so you don't really need your old GBA.

Well when I am on vacation and what not, I can use my GBA when my SP battery pack dies.

You're going to lug both along on vacation? Oh and is it just me or does the SP screen look darker when the light isn't on than GBA's? Oh well, it has a light, so problem solved. I mostly play with the light on now anyway. I'm barely in places where I don't need the light when I'm playing.

I dont have an SP and I dont plan to get one. It's too small and uncomfortable for me, unlike the GBA which fits me perfectly. My ring and middle fingers always smash into each other when I hold the sp.

I got used to it fast and now it is a lot more comfortable. The screen DOES look darker than the original, it's kinda wierd, but hey, I never turn off the light anymore anyway.

I'm not sure if it's darker; it might just be because you're used to the light, making the dark seem darker than it is.

GBA and GBC both look obviously brighter-screened than the SP without its light on. but SP is still the gretest

I am not quite sure what I am going to do with my GBA. I am either going to sell it, hold onto it for backup, or give it to someone.
