Yeah, they do. I really wish they just didn't make the new ones and sticked with the old ones instead. Sigh. Besides, I don't know anything about the new ones. :/

Now they're releasing remakes of the originals for gba as Fire red and Leaf green for blue. I would get them since those were the best ones but I've already had my fair share from the originals. Also, silver/gold and ruby/sapphire don't really add up storyline-wise. In red and blue, scientists were supposedly studying pokemon for years yet only 151 were found. Then in silver a new continent was found with 100 new pokemon and a thriving modern civilization. How did they miss that? . They do the same thing with Sapphire and Ruby

Fire Red and Leaf Green just sound sad. I mean, can't they make a new game for once instead of recycling old ones? Sigh.

I'll have to see exactly how big of an improvement they are from the originals. I am a pokemon fan but it's getting boring playing them because of the repetition of the gameplay in each sequal

The originals were sweet, but these new ones seem to be missing the charm. Especially the stadium games and that rip-off tetris attack one (puzzle battle I think). They try to put all of these features in the game like tag teaming which bogs down the gameplay IMO. I doubt I would get them just because I played the jank out of the old one.

The series reached it's pinnacle at pokemon gold and silver...after playing saphire and stopping halfway it's apparent the series has really lost it's charm.

It's odd that Nintendo can't come up with good sequals for one of their biggest franchises. I mean just look at the Zelda games! Each one keeps getting better and better without feeling the repetition aspect.

I am a pokemon fan but it's getting boring playing them because of the repetition of the gameplay in each sequal Added features: -Greatly enhanced Pokedex that can now sort by habitat. Useful for those who like to do the same thing with their PC boxes. -New ingame help feature. -Voice Checker, which can store things that various NPCs have said. -Tradability with Ruby/Sapphire and Collesseum -Berry crushing, which allows you to earn points toward stat-boosters -Wireless connectivity -Rainbow Island area with wild Johto Pokemon, Time Machine to trade with R/S, and various secrets to unlock...

Even with the new features, a remake is a remake...Pokemon Emerald is going to be released next summer and it includes more regions than r/s and also something about the Gyms shaped into the main pokemon of the Gym Leader. These are only rumors though...

These are only rumors though... Rumors about Emerald existing? Because that's official. Or are they rumors about teh more regions n whatnot? And btw it's people like you that don't appreciate the effort Enix takes to remake a game.

Hey, nothing wrong with pokemon. Its a decent RPG with a kiddish charm to it (if your insecure and cant admit you like them, its ok ) And besides, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge is one of the best puzzle games ever created (though i believe its just a remake of yoshi's cookie right?) but still, it over trumps that game easily.
