Everyone needs to get pumped up now! Mario Kart DS comes out next week with DS wifi capabilities. You all need to get on this thing so we can do online racing with each other and then visit towns in Animal Crossing. If you go to www.outpost.com you can order Mario Kart DS from Fry's Electronics for $23.99 +shipping or for 2-day (best bargain) $30.20 !!!!

I'm getting any games for the DS at Christmas and I look forward to racing some of you at Mario Kart. I've also convinced many of my friends to get the DS a.s.a.p. so that we can play some of the games during school. (Sucks that AWDS has no wifi capabilities)

Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod. Must get it! But I don't think I will have much time to play. And since I'm getting a wireless router soon, this is a good time for it to come out. :O I wonder if I can also play this online on campus? There are wireless network in most places, but they require you to login to be able to use it.

Ok, as I am computer illiterate: Will they be selling a cord that you can connect to your computer to play online, or do you have to go to one of them confangled 'hot spots' (whatever those are)?

Yes, you have to be at a Wi-Fi hotspot. Basically an area with wireless network signals. A lot of coffee places have them. I don't know about the cord thing. There are no ports for ethernet cords or anything like that on the DS. They may release some add-on or something, but I dunno.. Oh and I remember seeing something on a site. Apparently they'll also release this little USB thing that you plug into your computer and then you can use that to pick up signals if you don't have a wireless router (I think). So I guess they'll be doing something like that instead of using cords.

Nintendo is selling a USB flash stick through their website that enables you to make a wifi hotspot off any computer hooked up to the Internet. It will retail for $35 and is a great invention .

Eh.. Mcdonalds? Haha. Interesting. I don't think the Mcdonalds here are going to have them anytime soon though. None of our Starbucks even offer Wi-Fi. -_-
