No I got a DS and it is small enough to make me happy. Better things to spend $130 on.

I really want one after seeing how great it looks in real life. Pictures do not do justice. I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow, so I'm going to try to find one there. If not, I'll wait til I get back to get one.

It costs 224 (tax included) here, so I understand what you mean KoL, but at the same time...I want to be able to play the new SMB with 5X the brightness. And it looks pretty slick too.
Btw have you guys heard what they decided to call the Nintendo Revolution? Nintendo Wii. Wtf?

Ok, if you want one, you should preorder it. I went to 9-10 stores in Japan and none of them had even one. This is ridiculous. They didn't even have the regular DS's, let alone DS Lites. Augh, hopefully Hong Kong will have them. If not, I guess I'll have to try to get one when I get back on the 7th.

I'll be getting one, maybe not on the exact release date, but very soon afterward. Two reasons, first is cause it looks badass, especially cause of the brightness adjustments. And second cause my brother cant find his DS, so i'll just give him my regular DS.

Woohoo! I finally got one today, in ice blue. They're all over the place in Hong Kong. They must've bought them all in Japan to resell them here. Figures. The lowest brightness is brighter than the original DS's screen already. That and the colours are a lot sharper. It's just too great. And also, no more hand cramps in Metroid Prime.

There is only white in North America but there's 3 colours available in Japan. They will most likely release the other 2 colours eventually in NA though. There was only white initially in Japan too, but the other colours were launched after a week.

Apparently you just can't find these. I am not trading in my DS for a smaller one though.

Yeah I picked one of the lites up..didnt have a DS previously.
It's really nice, I've heard its a major improvement over the old DS but I don't really have anything to compare to hehe.
I only have a few issues..one is that the GBA cartridges stick out slightly at the bottom..not a big deal game wise but it makes it look a little worse. The other thing would be that you have to reboot after you change any options. Not sure if I would spend the 130 to get a lite if you already have a DS..but the general feeling of what I've read seems to be that doing so would be a good idea.
Otherwise, I'm definetly impresssed with it..and was well worth the trade in of some GBA and PS2 games, and my old SP.

I went into Ebgames to think about trading in some games in order to upgrade to a lite. They told me I would get $40 for a DS, $15 for Nintendogs, $10 for Kirby Canvas Curse and the list goes on. Basically I won't be upgrading that way. Selling everything on Ebay might but I would rather just pocket the cash from the games and keep the DS. So I am selling 3 DS games on ebay along with a Gameboy Advance SP collection and a NRFB Dragon Warrior 7.

I don't know if you should sell the SP since you can't link up GBA games with the DS, unless you don't care.
There are so many games that I want to get for the DS including: Children of Mana, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Contact, SMBDS, FF3, Big Brain Academy, etc.
And you were right Jaggy, they were all sold out of DS Lites T_T
