Wow... he is indeed a magnificent president no? ^^;; I know you are joking around, but I will give him a ranking for you all to chew on. In my many years of presidential research and study I have ranked 39 presidents(two died too early and one is double counted) up to Bush. He now secures a spot at #25 on my list which is pretty piss poor considering some that are above him. The reason is not much has been accomplished in our war on terror given many recent terror attacks overseas, he has violated his own "Bush Doctrine" regarding terrorist states, his Iraq policy was mostly a ploy to boost Republicans' chances in the mid-terms, he has passed very ineffective legislation, and he has in general demostrated poor leadership in conducting the affairs of the country. He DID handle everything better than I think Gore would've... I am not sure about that. Even so, that doesn't earn him a very good ranking at all just because the other guy wouldn't have done as well. Bush's policies are leading us on a path to continuous conflict with a host of countries. I should point out that his national security policy has outlined a policy that is uninforcable which is preempting anyother nation from ever reaching a status as a major world power that could rival the U.S. Do you have any idea how many wars that means? Look at how he has back peddled already on that ridiculous "Axis of Evil". We are dealing with the Iranians to attack Iraq and not doing anything about North Korea even though it has violated treaties just as badly as Iraq has. Also, let us look at the recent terror attacks on Israel. Don't you remember how we said after 9-11 that we would seek out terror groups all over the world? Why then are we not doing anything about the terror groups in Palestine who are launching the most frequent terror attacks of any group. Also, we should be attacking the countries that pay and harbor Al-Qaeda among others according to this "Bush Doctrine" and that would mean wars on Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebannon, Yemen, and others. Bush has been a perfectly awful leader in the way he has handled almost everything when you think about it. Don't say just because we haven't been hit by a terror attack on our soil since 9-11 that he has done a good job. The Al-Qaeda attacks in Bali, Kuwait(three times against our troops), the Phillipines, several in Afghanistan, and now in Kenya trying to shoot down an Israeli jet-liner(that was a splinter group of Al-Qaeda show that the war has been ineffective. I wouldn't be suprised if another attack on this country is only weeks away given the way terrorists have been attacking. Also, Al-Qaeda normally has intervals of 10 months to 2 years before launching major attacks against us so I found it puzzeling when people were so scared of another terrorist attack right after 9-11 when the probability of another one is at its lowest. Let us not forget an article in Newsweek that shows that the terrorists are training again in Afghanistan. Bush should stop all of this Iraq nonsense and go after Bin-Laden and the Palestinian terrorist groups with the full might of our military to throughly root out the networks of terror.
