hmmm ok is we are going to continue this war (which i do not want to do at all) at least refer to it as being Christian and not "believing in god" on second thought, lets just drop the topic so politics....there...good...n stuff i dont know anything about politics i could care less how the high mucky mucks are pissing away our money For the record, many people believe in God, but are not Christians, for instance the Jewish. They are supposedly the chosen ppl or God, so are they gonna go to hell? I'll stop, because I don't want this to go any further. BTW, Zynx is right on the money, no pun intended. You are very knowledgable about politics, you sound like me ;D

I used to know the electoral votes of every state until they changed the numbers to conform with the census.

I agree. I want the public financing of campaigns. In other words the government gives both parties say 40 million dollars and they fight it out. I'm trying to think of a way to accomodate third parties.

You're right. There are a few over the years that have gotten substantial amounts of the vote though. The Bull Moose party in 1912 finished second place over the Republicans as one example. In 1924 the Progressives got around 20% of the vote. The most recent example is Ross Perot in 1992 with 17% of the vote.

I don't really care about politics. But during the 2000 elections. I took the time to read some parts of the newspaper and watch the elections.

I treated it like the Super Bowl. I watched the pre-election stuff the day before and from 3-5Pm before the first results began to come in. Then I watched non-stop, except for a shower at 7:00PM, until 12:30 AM. I'm looking forward to the mid-terms this year!

Come right to me. I nearly memorized the county by county breakdown of election results in Ohio because the results there were fairly close and interesting in 2000.

We already had Richard Nixon. He was a closet homosexual as it turns out according to a lot of evidence. However, we will have an openly gay president in probably not the too distant future.

It will be forever before we have a non-caucasian female president.
