Incidentally on my list of presidential rankings Richard Nixon is one of the worst ever. 5th from the bottom to be precise. Richard Nixon actually did a lot of good before his Watergate scandal. Therefore, I hardly consider him the worst. My least favorite presidents were Herbert Hoover and Andrew Jackson.

Nixon was a disaster economically and his fiscal policy was awful with his international policy overrated. Also, Watergate brought such shame to the presidency by itself he can not possibly rate any higher than 30th on a presidential rating and with the economic problems brought on by his policies he ends up in the higher 30s which puts him about where I did.
Andrew Jackson was great. You must mean Andrew Johnson.
Also, you must know jack sh!t about presidential history if your least favorite president isn't Warren Harding or James Buchanan.

Andrew Jackson was great. You must mean Andrew Johnson. No, I hate Jackson for the sole reason that he disrupted the Balance of Powers in the U.S. government.

Jackson was number 7 on the list of top presidents for me. Great fiscal policy, great international policy, and great economic policy(he lowered tariffs and I love that). Johnson is right behind the other disasterous presidents on my list because he totally shamed the White House almost as much as Nixon.

Presidents are a vaery subjective topic, because people see different strengths and weaknesses in them. Can you agree with me on this, Zynx? I hate people who like a president simply because he belongs to their party.

I am marginally Democratic yet I have two of the worst presidents being Democrats. I agree with your statement.

It's not just in America. I live in Korea, and I've seen MUCHMUCHMUCH worse. There are two major parties in Korea, one being Democrats and the other being some Korean Party. The first thing you see in their party homepage is Deomcrats: Korean Party is absolutely wrong! they are wrong in this.....that....those...these.... Korean Party: DEmocrats are liars! they are scum on earth....bitches....that....those....

zynx, what is your top 5 worst incidents cause by a president in presidential history?

1. The Civil War (A mix of Lincoln and Buchanan. Lincoln inflamed the South with his campaign rehtoric and Buchanan, who came before Lincoln, didn't try to calm the situation.) 2. The Great Depression (Hoover imposed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff that crippled international trade and our economy and that was the main cause of the worst part of the Great Depression which was 1931. Also, he increased taxes to nearly 70% and killed personal spending. I should tell all of you that the Crash of 1929 DID NOT CAUSE THE GREAT DEPRESSION) 3. The Depression of 1893-1897. (Benjamin Harrison caused it by bi-metalism(trying to base the currency off both gold and silver) and the McKinnley Tariff of 1890. It was easily the second worst economic downturn in our history.) 4. Watergate (The scandal was so damaging to the presidency that Americans have still never recovered their faith in government) 5. To some extent World War II and this will take explaining. (Woodrow Wilson refused to stop the Allies from imposing very tought sanctions on Germany after World War I and infact he helped. By doing so he allowed the Germans to become enraged, following the economic collapse of their country because of post war conditions and sanctions, at Britain, France, and America and this led to the rise of Adolph Hitler. Had he tried to rebuild Germany instead of just humiliating it he could have prevented World War II from ever occurring.)
